Important Note From the Translator

This is a very intensively and carefully edited MTL. I use up to three different translation tools, as well as Chinese dictionaries, chengyu dictionaries, Baidu web searches, Baidu Baike, Baidu Zhidao, and other Chinese websites to try to make sure the original meaning and tone are preserved and that idioms, cultural references, and historical references are explained. While I am actively learning Mandarin, I am nowhere near the level I would need to be to do this without the use of such tools, however I do have a good understanding of how to spot idioms and such.

My translations are not 100% literal, but I try my best to keep the translations accurate and faithful to the spirit of the original. This means that I will edit out redundant words, add a necessary word, and rearrange some words or phrases in order for my final work to not only translate the original text into English, but also to have a translation that flows as smoothly in the target language as it does in the source language.
