My Vampire Faints at Blood Chapter 36

Allergies May Cause Shock

"No, no, Honourable King – we are aware of our ignorance and shallowness, so please forgive us for this thoughtless offence..." The vampire he approached was already so scared that his legs were weak and he couldn't move a muscle. He could only shiver and do his best to retract his canines again.

"No offence?" Wei Long looked at him with a smirk, and repeated the words in a slow voice. The hand around the human doctor in his arms tightened, and a flicker of murderous intent flashed through his bloodshot pupils, "In that case, even for your 'thoughtless offence', I must give you something in return..."

His words had barely fallen when another heartbreaking sound of dry heaving came from the side. The interrupted pureblood king stopped talking, looked over impatiently, and frowned, "What's wrong with him, he's got a bad stomach?"

"In response to the King's words, Master Wayne is..."

One of the elders spoke up, but before he could say anything else, the one he called Master Wayne lunged at him and pressed his mouth shut, "Don't say anything, it's none of his business!"

"Master, he is the only pureblood king in the world today. We were born to be the subjects and servants of pureblood vampires, it was meant to be from birth..." The vampire elder on the other side explained with difficulty, and after glancing at Wei Long's expression, he lowered his voice a bit, "What's more, you hurt his lover..."

"Is that what I wanted?! I just wanted to bite a pure-blooded one, but who knew that a mere human would move so gracefully?" Wayne interrupted him angrily. He pulled the elder over, sucked up a mouthful of blood and rinsed his mouth, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth, "Wei Long, don't think that I will be as afraid of you as they are because you are a pureblood – I don't like to drink human blood, I only bite you vampires. This time I let that human stir up trouble, next time I will definitely bite you!"

"It seems you didn't listen to anything I just said." Quietly looking at the yakuza young master vampire who spoke with a Beijing accent in front of him, the corners of Wei Long's mouth picked up slightly, but the coldness in his eyes intensified. Holding the already sleeping human in his arms steady with one hand, he stretched out one index finger and pointed towards him, and a bloody light entered the other's body, "Enjoy the process. Since you bit him, you should pay for it..."

"You're putting on airs! I don't feel anything at all! Do you think I would be scared if you acted like this? Ri–" Wayne snapped back angrily. He had only taken one step forward, but the pureblood vampire in front of him had already turned into a black mist and dissipated into the fading morning light, "Vampires just like to wander off in the middle of the night. I guess that emergency doctor has the same habit – Don't mind that you guys, I think he'll be back soon."

In the living room of the villa, the family of four dragons was coiled together. The fire dragon was patiently feeding the golden dragon a roasted pig, and the two young dragons were wrapped around their napkins, sipping the creamy sulphurous fish soup in front of them.

In the absence of his master, the butler, a mixed-blood husky, had to take on the responsibility of entertaining the guests. While greeting the guests and enjoying the elaborate breakfast, he looked out of the window at the dawning sky, and there was an involuntary flash of concern in his eyes.

Suddenly, in the middle of the hall, a thick black mist appeared out of nowhere.

In a single bound, He Jialun rushed over. The mist faded away and the vampire, who had somehow disappeared, appeared in the same place. Still clutching the sleeping human in his arms, he stumbled forward weakly.

"What's going on – How did you get back like this? You opened the pureblood seal?" A hand caught the staggering vampire. Taking the human doctor from his arms, He Jialun's gaze took on a slightly stunned expression, "Doctor Shang is injured, isn't he – His clothes are covered in blood, how did you not faint?"

"With the bloodline power activated, I was able to hold out for a while..." As he spoke, he apologetically nodded towards the dragon family. Wei Long held his shoulder and barely stood steady, his voice finally showing some fatigue and weakness, "Take us to the bedroom first, and get me some lightly salt water..."

"Okay, okay, I know, stop talking for now." He Jialun hastily responded. Two ears instantly popped out and his stature became much taller. He held the human doctor carefully and steadily, and casually picked up the vampire, slinging him over his shoulder, then ran upstairs.

"A'Li – I don't care where you are, hurry up and get some lightly salted water, Doctor Shang is injured!"

A response came fluttering through the air; a gust of wind blew through and the door to the upstairs kitchen creaked slowly open.

After carefully laying the human doctor on the bed, he tossed aside the vampire that was on his shoulder. Helping to change those blood-stained clothes and hide them, He Jialun looked at the vampire's pupils. Seeing that they had dulled considerably, he couldn't help but feeling a little worried and patted him on the shoulder, whispering a word of advice, "You guys rest for a while – Are you running out of strength? Why don't I go ahead and get you two bags of plasma, there's more in the fridge, you can drink it if you close your eyes and pinch your nose..."

"No need... thank you for your help, my loyal friend." Wei Long shook his head gently and responded in a warm voice, smiling lightly as he patted the humanoid husky's shoulder, "Go ahead – help me apologise to the Dragon Highnesses. Ask them to forgive me for my rudeness, I'll just have to explain the current situation to them later."

"Okay, then call me if you need anything, don't let the two of you pass out together..." After a while of struggling with the genes belonging to werewolves and huskies, He Jialun finally nodded with difficulty and agreed reluctantly with his ears drooping. One step at a time, he moved out of the room and thoughtfully closed the door for him.

After kneeling on the edge of the bed for a while and looking at the human doctor's calm and peaceful sleeping face, the vampire's pupils, which had already dimmed, seemed to light up again, and a soft warmth spread through his eyes.

Shakily propping himself up, Wei Long rummaged through the drawer and pulled out a delicate sapphire pendant, and asked the human to hold it in his hand. He himself held it as well, and he gently kissed the back of the human's hand.

In the very next moment, the pendant suddenly glowed with a soft blue light which surrounded the two of them.

In a matter of seconds, the wound on the human's shoulder recovered, leaving his skin so smooth that no trace of it could be seen. The vampire's eyes, already dull and grey, had almost simultaneously regained their midnight ink colour.

The residual power in the pendant was reserved for vampires, and while it could help humans recover from their wounds, it could not replenish the lost blood. Looking at the still almost bloodless lips of the human on the bed, the vampire's eyes flashed a little pain once more, and he slowly leaned down and placed a soft kiss on the human's pale lips.

"Are we home yet..." Shang Haojia was sleeping soundly, but he was suddenly startled by the cold touch on his lips. Subconsciously opening his eyes, he was greeted by the vampire's familiar handsome face, "Where's my cassoulet and rice?"

"......" Wei Long never thought that the first thing his beloved human would focus on when he woke up would be his cassoulet. The unprepared vampire blinked blankly, carefully sorting out the original order of medical advice in his head, "Darling, we're only at the step of drinking lightly salted water – after you drink the water and get a good night's sleep, then you can have chicken, okay?"

As if in response to his words, Shang Haojia had only just sat up with the vampire's help and pulled on a piece of clothing that had come from nowhere when the door creaked slowly open. A large glass of water floated shakily over and landed gently on the table.

"A'Li – did you go and get the salt water..." Glancing over at the ghostly servant who was eager to help, the vampire suddenly felt a strong sense of concern. Tentatively, he lifted the glass of water and brought it to the human doctor's lips, "Taste it first, dear, I'm a little uneasy..."

Shang Haojia's thoughts were still a bit muddled, but he felt so thirsty that he subconsciously took a large sip. However, as soon as he took a sip, his expression suddenly changed and he turned sideways violently, spitting it out towards the side.

"Careful..." Swiftly, he held his lover who had nearly fallen off the bed with his movement. The vampire set the cup aside and apologetically rubbed his back, "How are you – are you okay? Don't rush, you're still weak..."

Choking out a cough on the vampire's shoulder, he responded intermittently, "Except for that sip of lightly salted water that's probably – probably over ninety percent concentration I had just now, everything's pretty good" Not to break the heart of the eager passerby ghost, Doctor Shang didn't change the name he gave to the glass of suspiciously salty water.

Wei Long shook his head, not knowing whether to laugh or cry, and told the ghostly servant to bring over another glass of pure water. Waiting for the breathing of the human in his arms to slow down, he helped him to lean against the bed, pursed his lips, and lowered his head slightly, "Darling, it was my fault this time – I thought of many possibilities, but the only thing I didn't expect was that he would just jump on me, nor did I think that your reaction would be so swift and precise..."

"It looks so much better this way. When you took on the identity of the Pureblood King, I felt like you were about to tie a little kid to a chair, pull out a toothbrush, and shove it in his mouth." Looking at the vampire in front of him who was sincerely admitting his mistake, Shang Haojia couldn't help but laugh softly and patted the back of his hand soothingly, "I'm still thinking about the vampire who drank my blood and threw up – In my daze, I heard someone call him Young Master Wayne, and if there are no surprises, he should be Wayne Loki..."

Hearing the title that was added in front of the name Wayne Loki, Wei Long could not help but smile bitterly and shake his head helplessly, "My dear, don't bother with this anymore. He does seem to dislike human blood, just think of him as having different tastes–"

"No, no, I feel like something is wrong." Doctor Shang waved his hand in a serious manner and suddenly sat upright, taking on his usual stance for a consultation, "If he simply didn't like it, he wouldn't have reacted that badly. I later wondered if it could be something else, like a human blood allergy, or a human haemoglobin intolerance..."

Seeing that Doctor Shang's little class was back in session, the vampire beckoned over a small stool and sat carefully to listen, and actively raised his hand to ask a question, "Allergies – like Jialun, who can't stop sneezing?"

"His case is considered a respiratory allergy, a food allergy is much more serious. Patients may experience nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhoea, or they may get a rash on their body. In more dangerous cases, it may cause anaphylactic shock, or even accidental death. Seeing Wayne Loki's reaction, I think it's more likely that he falls into the latter categories." With that, Shang Haojia fumbled in his trouser pocket and fished out the vampire teeth he'd just gotten from the students and put them on, then looked up with a straight face, "So – I suddenly have a bold idea..."

  1. Wei Long was so cooollll. Even though he was afraid of blood, he pushed himself to protect and avenged his love. I wonder what punishment that he put on Wayne.

You know I can't stop the image that popped in my head about Jialun carried Doctor Shang bridal style while also carried Wei Long in his shoulder. 😁

Ah Doctor Shang... Just when the atmosphere was turned romantic he ruined it by asking for food. Poor Wei Long.😂
