My Vampire Faints at Blood Chapter 17

Singing Out of Tune is Also a Disease

"When you say 'disease', do you mean him sucking blood or him fainting at the sight of blood?" Feeling thirsty after eating, Shang Haojia vigorously leaned forward, grabbed a box of yoghurt, and sat back on the sofa, biting the straw contentedly.

Feeling as though there was nothing he could do about this self-made schoolboy, An Muxi smiled helplessly. He exchanged glances with Wei Long, then looked at Shang Haojia cautiously, "You two are very familiar with each other? How did you meet each other, do you know his true identity?"

"My beloved Apostle – although we are bound by convention, it is forbidden to reveal our true identity to ordinary humans. However, in my memory, this prohibition does not include partners." Before he could speak, the vampire at his side took a step forward gracefully, stopped with one hand held in front of his body, and bowed gracefully at the other party, "In fact, I'm making unremitting efforts to fight for Doctor Shang to be my partner, and so far, we have been getting along very well." (Angel: Apostle is the name given to each of the twelve chief disciples of Jesus Christ.)

In just a few sentences, a lot of information was revealed. Doctor Shang raised his eyebrows, obviously discovering that things were not simple.

As a descendent of criminal investigators, Shang Haojia had already developed a wealth of investigative and counter-reconnaissance capabilities in the struggle with his parents that has gone on for more than twenty years. Facing the present situation that was obviously not simple, Doctor Shang resolutely chose to stay quiet. He drank his yoghurt carefully, silently acquiescing to the vampire's ambiguous words.

"You two – what kind of match is this…" Looking at the two people standing and sitting in front of him with a calm expression, An Muxi finally felt that his worldview had been severely impacted and he couldn't help but rub his temples, "When you go to bed in the future, are you sure that this student from a clinical background will be able to resist trying to give you CPR?"

Before he could finish his words, the vampire, who had always been calm and graceful, suddenly clapped his hands and shook his head in annoyance, "Ah–"

Although An Muxi was already familiar with the slightly exaggerated way of expression of the vampire family, it was rare to see such an annoyed reaction from the other party. An Muxi blinked blankly, and subconsciously looked at Shang Haojia, who was sitting on the side, "Why, you two have already been in bed, haven't you?"

"Strictly speaking – he was in my bed, and I was in his bed." Obviously understanding what Wei Long was upset about, Shang Haojia took over after watching the excitement, and he comfortingly patted the vampire's perfectly defined waist, "Don't worry, the current first aid technology is very advanced, we will directly perform tracheal intubation. Mouth-to-mouth artificial respiration is only used in emergencies when there is no equipment – so even if you wait for a while, the picture you imagined will not appear."

"That said, I feel a lot of comfort. I thought that our werewolf friend interrupted a crucial opportunity, but now it seems that opportunistic tricks really do not work." The vampire nodded in relief. Sincerely meeting the human doctor's gaze, he smiled and leaned towards him, "But – my doctor, I never seem to have the opportunity to tell you. When your hands pressed on my chest, the strong force from them almost made my heart start beating again after a long time…"

"Come on, you are a pure-blooded vampire, has your heart ever beaten?" Impatiently interrupting the vampire who was ready to flirt anytime anywhere, An Muxi pulled away and sat down on a stool. He patted Shang Haojia's shoulder earnestly, "You'd better be careful, after all, this guy is a vampire that is over a thousand years old, although he has slept for more than nine hundred years… it's up to you to not be easily confused by his rhetoric. Their kinsmen all rely on this method to find prey for themselves."

"In fact, I already know a lot about his situation. In contrast, I am more curious about your situation." Shang Haojia held his chin in one hand, scanning the senior who had been with him for seven or eight years up and down. He met his gaze with interest, "You are definitely not a vampire, and in terms of characteristics, you don't look like a werewolf. Just now, I heard him call you Apostle, indicating that you have the right to restrain each race, plus you were invited to the police station – My dear senior, are you the legendary prophet that drove the low-ranking werewolf crazy?"

An Muxi sighed with a wry smile, "I can't help but say that you going to the clinic is really a big loss for the general public's police force." Shaking his head helplessly and getting up, he arranged his clothes seriously and then cleared his throat twice, "Well, please allow me to introduce myself again – I serve in the Special Abilities and Race Investigation Agency, and I am an elf of light. I can't shirk the blame for this riot. This time, I came here specifically to join hands with my human colleagues to find a way to deal with the current situation. You have been wondering why I have not been able to graduate with a Ph.D. as of yet, it has actually been because of the endless disputes and troubles of these races that consumed a lot of my energy…"

"Elves of light, this is one of the coolest sounding races I have encountered so far." Nodding thoughtfully, Shang Haojia crossed his arms and raised his head, carefully looking at the elf in front of him, "If I remember correctly, in the legends, elves are the children of nature whose emotions are delicate and rich, and their melody of speech is as beautiful as when they sing…"

"All right, don't keep talking." When he heard the second half of his sentence, An Muxi's complexion suddenly became bitter, and he held down the shoulders of this schoolboy, "Give your brother some face. How much do you want? When I go back, I will give you a red envelope…"

"Muxi, you really should know that I have never been a person who is susceptible to the temptation of money." Shang Haojia patted him on the shoulder. Just as he was about to reject the other party's proposal, his expression suddenly moved slightly, and the tone of the conversation followed suit, "But – if you are willing to help me pick two sets of clothes for my vampire friend, I would continue to help you keep this secret…"

"Okay! What kind of clothes do you want, casual or sporty – What style do you want to go with, a cosy homebody or a youthful student?" When he finally changed his mind, An Muxi's heart finally settled. Nodding, he suddenly took the vampire's hand enthusiastically, "My dear vampire friend, your skin is whiter and your blood colour is lighter, I recommend that you try the warm homebody men's style. Camel and beige can reconcile your paleness well…"

Being treated with such enthusiasm by the Apostle for the first time, the vampire who had always been at a high-risk surveillance level blinked, took half a step back subconsciously, and shook his head with a chuckle, "My beloved Apostle, your attitude makes me a little flattered…"

"What do you mean flattered? You're obviously frightened – Muxi, it's just a harmless problem, yet you suddenly turned into Watson's clothing guide?" Shang Haojia obviously couldn't stand the scene in front of him anymore. He slapped the hands that the two of them were still holding and sighed, hating iron for not being steel, and shook his head towards the elf apostle who no longer maintained his image.

Meeting his distressed gaze, An Muxi's expression wasn't much better. With a bitter face, he pulled the man to his side, "Come out with me in a while, and I will explain to you alone…"

Not expecting the other party to care about such trivialities, Shang Haojia tilted his head noncommittally, but still temporarily compromised and sat back.

After finally calming the other party for a while, An Muxi breathed a sigh of relief. Looking up and down the vampire's rather outstanding figure, he nodded in a big manner, "I probably understand his positioning and needs – You don't need to buy things of inconsistent quality online. Our family has a tailor, just wait for an opportunity to have his size measured, and I will go back and ask him to make two sets of clothes for your vampire."

"No need, I can write it for you now." Shang Haojia shook his head calmly, then took a piece of white paper from the table, and took a gel pen out of his shirt pocket. After writing a few lines neatly, he folded the paper and passed it over.

Taking the piece of paper in awe, An Muxi was silent for a while before patting the schoolboy's shoulder earnestly, "I have told you several times – can't you doctors fix that habit of keeping two pens in your pocket, it is very unfashionable…"

"The doctor's pen is the same as a man's lighter, it is something that must be reachable anytime, anywhere, and must be ready to use anytime, anywhere." Shang Haojia waved his hand disapprovingly, winked towards the door, and nodded apologetically at Wei Long.

Still in his state of surprise from knowing that the other party could write his measurements at will, the vampire nodded slightly, indicating that the two of them didn't need to care about him, and maintained a cheerful smile on his face.

Seeing that the other party didn't care, Shang Haojia dragged An Muxi out. Frowning in confusion, he patted the elf with a wry smile, "Isn't it just singing out of tune – Vampires can faint from seeing blood these days, and elves can sing out of tune, what's so shameful about that?"

"For humans, of course there is nothing shameful about signing out of tune – but for us elves, chanting hymns was originally our way of purifying low-level races." An Muxi smiled bitterly. Sighing heavily, he squatted against the wall with his head in his hands, instantly turning into an elf ball, "I won't hide it from you, the werewolf who hurt people last night suddenly lost control and went into a frenzy after listening to the hymn I sang…"

Doctor Shang was really something. I couldn't understand An Muxi's bitterness when Doctor Shang described elf characteristics. But he immediately knew that An Muxi couldn't sing.

And now Doctor Shang knew that Wei Long was courting him. 😁
