My Vampire Faints at Blood Chapter 8
Ensuring Adequate Sleep
Although this story once caused the werewolf friend to laugh so much that they shed all over the room, this time it was obviously unfavourable. Waiting until the whole story was finished, the expected chuckle from the back seat had still not come.
Wei Long glanced at the rear-view mirror suspiciously, only to realise that Shang Haojia had actually leaned against the back seat, using his arm as a pillow. He did not know when he fell so deeply asleep.
"It turns out that human beings will suddenly fall into dormancy like this..." He rubbed his jaw thoughtfully as he whispered. Wei Long parked the car on the side of the road and took out an exquisite notebook from his pocket.
Like the style of his business card, the cover of this book was also full of cumbersome and exquisite patterns. The dark-coloured cover with bronzing lines seemed to reveal a mysterious and exaggerated dark atmosphere. It almost looked the same as what was sold in a street stall.
As a vampire who has only recently regained consciousness, Wei Long obviously hasn't got such a detailed understanding of human society. He cherishingly brushed the dust that did not exist off the cover, opened the book gently, and crossed out the line ‘When he is listless, tell him a joke’ regretfully.
At the top of this list, there is a line reading ‘Make your speech more elegant and behave like a gentleman’, which has been crossed mercilessly. Wei Long looked at the love guide in his hand for a long while, and finally couldn't help but frown slightly and sigh with a headache.
The times are developing too fast, and the methods used in mediaeval Europe to please partners seem to have suddenly lost their effect. Facing the fact that he was out of date, the vampire who accidentally overslept, suddenly had a strong sense of crisis that he couldn't let go of.
The car started again and drove smoothly towards the outskirts of the city.
He didn't know if it was because he was really tired or that he let his guard down, but Shang Haojia actually fell asleep like this, and when he woke up, he was already lying on a gorgeous and comfortable bed.
This bed was undoubtedly very comfortable to lie on – the soft Simmons almost completely enveloped him with its smooth and supple silk fabric, and when his body was on it, it made him feel just enough coolness to be comfortable.
Shang Haojia's thoughts stagnated for a moment. He suddenly sat up wrapped in a blanket and had a strange expression on his face that seemed indescribable – According to common sense, he should only be able to feel the smoothness and coolness of the silk blanket and bed sheet if there was a certain amount of physical contact with it.
Shocked by such an overly enthusiastic reception, Shang Haojia shuddered subconsciously. His brain, that had just started to regain function, smoothed out the logic slowly and with difficulties, and he carefully felt the joint of his pelvis.
"My friend – are you satisfied with your rest?" A familiar chuckle suddenly came from beside him. Shang Haojia instinctively wrapped the blanket around himself tightly, and looked vigilantly in the direction of the sound.
There was a gap in the velvet curtains, letting a ray of moonlight penetrate through and pour quietly into the corners of the room. The vampire was standing in the corner of the room, looking at him with a smile. There seemed to be a trace of extremely pale blood in his pure black eyes.
The atmosphere was really weird, and Shang Haojia couldn't help feeling a little nervous. Swallowing hard, he looked at Wei Long in front of him vigilantly, "I rested well, and I didn't even notice that I was stripped naked – My vampire friend, have you finally overcome your psychological barrier and plan to bite me?"
"No, no, you misunderstood – I just wanted to make you sleep comfortably, so I changed your own cumbersome clothes that wouldn’t have helped you sleep." Wei Long laughed and shook his head. He quickly explained the situation, then turned on the crystal chandelier. The soft light instantly illuminated the room and diluted the original mysterious and ambiguous atmosphere.
The decoration of the bedroom was quite elegant, each piece of furniture was obviously expensive, and the corners of the house were decorated with vibrant green plants. There was not much of the mystery and darkness belonging to the blood race, but rather a bit of unexpected ease and elegance.
Seeing that his clothes were neatly folded and placed on the rocking chair beside the bed, Shang Haojia finally breathed a sigh of relief. He wrapped his body in the blanket, and leaned forward with difficulty, reaching for the pile of clothes, "With all due respect, the way you vampires treat guests is really full of creativity..."
"According to my habit, in fact, I don't usually treat guests like this." Seeing the embarrassment in his expression, Wei Long realised that the new trick he had learned was not appropriate. Stepping forward and tenderly helping him with the clothes, he leaned over slightly apologetically, "Since most of us vampires live with the opposite sex, this behaviour is undoubtedly very rude and even completely unforgivable. But Jialun said that people of the same sex should not care too much about this kind of behaviour, and it can also increase mutual feelings – I think I was probably bewitched by him, and accidentally did very stupid things..."
"They still have a coat of fur on their bodies, of course they won't mind – If I guessed correctly, the last time you were deluded by him, you held me like a princess and jumped all over the world?"
He often tears open the clothes of patients of various shapes and sizes on the emergency table, so Shang Haojia did not find it difficult to accept his current condition. After feeling that the clothing covering the key parts were still on his body, he no longer fussed about it. He picked up his clothes and put them on neatly under the blanket.
Wei Long's expression stiffened unnoticeably for a moment. He could only smile and nod his head, and he sighed helplessly, "It now seems that most of the suggestions our werewolf friend made are for werewolves. For humans, it is indeed not applicable..."
"It's not a big deal. I slept well, and my waist doesn't hurt much." It has to be said that this was the best sleep Shang Haojia has had for a long time. The fatigue from his many days of work seemed to have dissipated even though he was sleeping in someone else’s bed. Doctor Shang, who has always been extremely capable of accepting various situations, was obviously not a man who would get ahead of himself. He waved his hand and suddenly became curious, "Speaking of which – I’ve always wondered, Mr. He said that he couldn't transform because of some unspeakable condition, but since he couldn't transform, how did he discover that he was actually a werewolf?"
"Strictly speaking, he is not unable to transform, but rather he is allergic to the wolf hairs that fall after transforming. Once transformed, he will sneeze and cry continuously, so he himself gradually resisted transforming." Wei Long chuckled and shook his head as he stretched his arm out to give him a hand, and helped him get out of the bed to stand firmly on the ground, "In fact, Jialun is in excellent condition among werewolves. His wolf hair is a mixture of white and light brown, there are traces of burning flames on it, and his eyes are a very beautiful ice blue. Compared with other werewolf's slightly rough shapes, he is really a rare and graceful kind."
"Blue eyes, three fires, light brown." Shang Haojia counted with his fingers and summed it up thoughtfully. Raising his hand to rub his chin gently, he pondered for a moment, and then shook his head strangely, "So – our lovely werewolf friend, is he actually a husky?" (Angel: Three fires refers to the markings on a husky’s head that resemble the Mandarin word for fire, 火 )

Translator Notes
I just want to say that I am aware that Addis is working on this novel over on Exiled Rebels Scans, and that they are aware that I am doing it as well. I have no issue with them working on it as well because even though I started posting it first, it is true that they started working on it way before I did and it would be a waste not to post it. Also, every translator will have their own style, so I have no ill feelings towards them.
That being said, I would be grateful if you continued to support my translation of the novel, as I am enjoying it and do not plan on dropping it. 😊
Please feel free to comment any mistakes I made so I can improve and do better as I go through the book.
