My Vampire Faints at Blood Chapter 65

Foetal Education is Beneficial for Foetal Development

"My dear, I'm still very curious..." Once inside the auction house and seated in the private room, the vampire couldn't help but glance at the thermos container his human was carrying, hoping for another kitten to pop out of it, "What exactly did you choose to christen our baby with – can't you really reveal that beforehand?"

According to the information provided by Yan Maifan, oviparous animals could gain the power properties within a potion if they were soaked in a special potion before breaking their shells. After consulting the dragon clan's customer service and verifying the accuracy of this information, the two of them began to ponder over the contents of the baptism.

Hearing that their little nephew was about to break out of his shell, their friends were naturally not stingy. An Muxi brought over a big bucket of yoghurt, saying that it would make the baby's skin white and glowing, and Shang Haojia gave it to the Taotie as a snack. Wayne Loki and Jia Duobao, who were said to be far away in the tropical rainforest, sent two large buckets of herbal tea, both insisting that theirs was more authentic and that it would clear the heat and detoxify the baby's spleen and appetite for the summer.

He was already worried about his son's appetite, so he couldn't possibly dig himself another hole to jump into. After seeing the word 'appetising', Doctor Shang decided to pass on the two buckets of herbal tea to the excited dragon husband, which upset Wayne Loki for a while.

Having learnt this lesson twice before, the vampire had to emphasise on the invitation that he would not accept any more food, and Zhuge Kaoyu had to regretfully take back the spicy hot pot base he had brought with him. Yan Maifan was the only one who still had his wits about him and brought a bottle of a potion that was said to increase speed, but he accidentally forgot to seal it and the little Taotie drank it down, not knowing what effect it would have in the end.

After realising the unreliability of the inhuman races, Doctor Shang finally decided to take matters into his own hands and called Eli, who was obsessed with experimentation and couldn't get away. He told the vampire to fetch a thermos of clear reagents, put in the Bi'an egg, which was already covered in patterns, and carry it along to the auction venue.

"Don't worry, you'll know when it hatches." The little Taotie had come in such a hurry that he hadn't had time to prepare himself mentally before he suddenly became a father, nor had he had time to prepare the little one for the birth. This time, Doctor Shang decided to strictly follow the process of the shell-breaking guide, patiently holding the thermos in his arms, with a definite and mysterious smile in his eyes, "I have good news for you – I looked up the information and the Bi'an is in the form of a tiger, so you're probably about to experience the pleasure of petting a big cat."

"Really?!" The vampire's eyes quickly turned into two red hearts as he expressed his pleasant surprise, grabbing the auction brochure and flicking through it quickly, "I'll see what I can get for our baby – there's a night pearl, and a self-recovering ball of wool from the war sheep clan, I've heard that felines are fond of balls, so I can bid on it later and try it out. There's also a mermaid here, Xiao Wei likes fish but he might eat it... Would a tiger like to catch a fish?"

"Okay, okay, actually, all you have to do is find a paper box for each of them and you can basically have their daily entertainment covered." Looking at the uncontrollable excitement of his vampire, the human doctor couldn't help but shake his head and laugh, patting him soothingly on the shoulder and adding an extra instruction, "Remember, you don't have to buy a specific cat litter – otherwise you'll just see them both rolling around hugging the packing box..."

The auction went on in an orderly fashion, with the non-human races auctioning off items that were distinctly non-human – an onshore respirator for the marine races, sunscreen spray for the blood and ghost races, and a 16-yolk egg from the Holy Chicken family. There was even a group purchase of a tree by a few ant colonies to make some kind of appealing ant-in-tree attraction, and there was no telling what it would look like.

As a wealthy elven family, it was obviously not the first time An Muxi came to this kind of auction. He ticked off a few things he wanted and gave them to Yan Maifan to take care of bidding on, and then he dozed off comfortably on his lap.

Compared to the lazy elves, the bloods, who were used to walking at night, were obviously in much better spirits. The two young masters of the gang were intently watching the winds of the auction, discussing each lot in whispers, planning their targets for the robbery afterwards, and had forgotten that there was a nice, neat vampire hunter sitting next to them.

"Something doesn't seem right..." After a quick glance around the box, the human doctor frowned slightly and gently touched the horns of the two little dragons, "Xian Bao, Xian Bei, where is your father?"

Xian Bao was still looking intently, not wanting to take his eyes off the display. Xian Bei, however, looked around in a hurry, and with some panic in his eyes, he nudged his brother's dragon body in a panic: "Where is Daddy – Daddy is gone, and so is Dad!"

"Don't panic, we are of the same race as Daddy, we can sense where Daddy is." Of course being a big brother means acting like a big brother. Xian Bao patted his brother's head soothingly with his dragon tail and closed his eyes for a while to carefully sense it, only to suddenly open them, his tone panicked, "No – how can we not sense him, does Daddy not want us anymore?!"

At the thought that their father might not want them, the two little dragons' eyes filled with tears and they cried out as they hugged each other. Two muffled thunderclaps echoed faintly through the sky, and one by one, the windows that had been open closed themselves as the torrential rain poured down.

"My dear – there may indeed be something wrong with this auction, and the exits have all been blocked off by them." After listening intently to the commotion outside, the vampire's expression sank and he lowered his voice to explain to his human. Shang Haojia nodded slightly, handed the two little dragons who were crying and hiccuping to Wayne Loki to coax, and dragged the sleeping elf out of his dreamland: "Don't sleep yet, see if you can still contact your Special Department, something is probably wrong."

Although Yan Maifan and Zhuge Kaoyu both seemed much more reliable than the yoghurt elf, both the celestial master and the vampire hunter were still human at the end of the day, so they were naturally less useful than the elf in such matters. The sleepy-eyed elf blinked and held his ears open for a while to pick up the signal before he suddenly sat up straight with wide eyes and his sleepiness dissipated: "Weird – what's going on?!"

Shang Haojia did not respond immediately, but merely frowned and shook his head slightly, looking thoughtfully at the exhibition stand below.

All the lots on the list had already been auctioned off, and the snow fox that cosplayed as a nine-tailed fox had even fetched an unbelievably high price, but the auction was clearly not about to end.

The various races in the room sensed the change, and the commotion grew louder and louder. A few grumpy races even tried to rush out, but they were inevitably bounced back by the powerful boundaries.

"Friends, the auction is not yet over – the main event of the day has only just begun, so why the rush to leave?" A rather magnetic voice seemed to ring in everyone's ears, and a black mist instantly swept through the entire auction hall, turning all the decorations as black as ink.

"Weird, why do I feel like I've heard this voice somewhere before..." An Muxi frowned and tapped his head, pondering where exactly he had heard such a distinctive voice before. Before he could remember, the black mist had dissipated and a man in a wizard's robe appeared silently on the stand.

"It is an honour to have the opportunity to meet you, dear friends – I am Lang Weixian, a minor dark wizard, and I will now take over the running of this auction, hopefully to your satisfaction." His face was covered in a pure black mask, revealing only his eyes and the lower half of his face, and the corners of his lips were teased with an evil smile, "Allow me to announce the final item in this auction – yourselves."

A sudden, inexplicable sense of caution arose in the human doctor's heart, and he subconsciously took a step backwards, about to hand over the thermos to his vampire, when the wizard who called himself Lang Weixian suddenly looked over at him.

The moment he was caught in those eyes, Shang Haojia suddenly felt as if a large hand had fiercely seized his throat, and breathing instantly became an extremely luxurious wish. All sounds around him suddenly became extremely distant, and with his remaining vision, it seemed that the vampire was lunging at him with a pale face, but before he could grasp the other man's hand, he was wrapped up in the black mist without mercy.

The pureblood king's eyes instantly turned a blood-red colour that was ready to devour someone, and he leapt out of the box with ease. However, before he could react, he was caught in a large net and hung high in the air.

"Dev – let go of me, that's my sweetheart!" The vampire's fangs were uncharacteristically sharp, and a dark mist spread across his red eyes. The blackness was extremely pure, so pure that it was intimidating, as if one might be swallowed up if they weren't careful – the sign of a pureblood vampire's rage. When the blackness had completely consumed the original blood red, the pureblood would go berserk, tearing apart everything in sight.

"Well, you're still as unlovable as ever. God knows you ran away from us, and actually did it to find a man." Out of the darkness came a slender woman. She looked to be in her early twenties, but those eyes were already very weathered, giving her whole being a bit more of a strange charm.

Her pale skin and bloodshot eyes revealed the fact that she was also a vampire – and Wayne Loki suddenly shuddered uncontrollably. The instinctive fear in his blood made him anticipate what was going to happen next almost instantly, and with a swoosh, he ducked behind Zhuge Kaoyu, tugging at the hem of his shirt tightly, refusing to poke his head out for anything.

"The purebloods have been proud kings for generations. I really can't imagine that you would ally yourselves with such a foul creature that can only hide in the darkness."

Forced to miss the best time for a rescue and watching his human fall into the hands of that dark wizard, Wei Long's eyes darkened a little more, and his voice was already bone-chilling: "When this is over, I will have a duel to the death with you, and no matter what, you will have to pay for what you did today..."

"We have no alliance, I just want to see how important that human is to you." It was the first time she had seen the good-tempered little pureblood in such a state of rage. Dev, who was already over two thousand years old, raised an eyebrow and shrugged innocently in a modern fashion, "I was actually going to kill him to make you return to the prodigal son, but now it seems that I have suddenly found a better option..."

"Dad – Dad, are you really putting up with this Dad! I'd much rather have her as my stepmother, Dad!" Swept over by her gaze, Wayne Loki suddenly felt a chill run up his back and he cried out miserably for help a few times. When he saw that Wei Long was unmoved, his voice could not help but be slightly muffled, and after shrinking his neck and taking two steps back, he suddenly and aggressively pounced on Zhuge Kaoyu. Hanging on to his body with his arms and legs, he crossed his heart and kissed the other party's face twice, stubbornly looking back at the terrible female pureblood, "I'm not going with you – I've got someone I like!"
