Zhang Ying insisted that the information she wanted to confess was very important, and that she had to say it directly to Bao Zhang. In addition, Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang had to arrange officers to protect her during this time, as someone wants to kill her.

Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang looked at each other, and the two entered a room to discuss.

“Xiao Bai, I think this woman is weird.” Zhan Zhao said.

“Hmm…” Bai Yutang nodded, “Should we ask Bao Sir?”

“En.” Zhan Zhao agreed. Bai Yutang took out his phone and called Bao Zheng. Bao Zheng told him that he was still at the police station and that he would go to them immediately.

Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang ended the call. Going back to the living room, they spoke to Zhang Ying, “Bao Sir will be here soon.”

Zhang Ying nodded and turned to Ma Xin, “Girl, can you help me go to the bathroom?”

“Uh, okay.” Ma Xin reached out and helped her up. Zhang Ying limped into the bathroom with Ma Xin’s support.

Bai Jintang asked Gongsun, “Shall we go back and sleep?”

Gongsun was unwilling, “I’m going back to do the autopsy.” After saying that, he looked at Bai Yutang and Zhan Zhao, “Let Ma Xin stay and take care of Zhang Ying for a while. I will go back first to do the autopsy.”

Bai Yutang saw Bai Jintang glare at him fiercely, and he quickly said, “Um, Gongsun, go back and sleep first, you can do the autopsy in the morning… you don’t have to do it right now.”

Gongsun shook his head and ignored them, and just shouted in the direction of the bathroom, “Ma Xin, I’m going back first. You stay here, I’ll do your tasks for you.”

After he spoke, he didn’t hear Ma Xin reply…

Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang looked at each other. Bai Yutang suddenly jumped up from the sofa, rushed to the bathroom door, and knocked, “Ma Xin!”

No one answered the door.

Bai Yutang stepped back, kicked the bathroom door, and the door flew open. Ma Xin was lying in the bathtub and the window was open…. Zhang Ying was missing.

“Ma Xin!” Zhan Zhao hurried in to check, only to see that Ma Xin was unconscious but uninjured… He was relieved.

Bai Yutang stepped on the toilet bowl, leaned out the window, and looked around, but there was no one there.

“Wow… this is the eleventh floor!” Xiao Ding said in surprise, “Is that sister really Catwoman?”

Bai Yutang and Zhan Zhao looked at each other, and the two ran out of the room and went down to the tenth floor. The door to the room directly beneath their apartment was open.

Bai Yutang took out his gun, flashed in, and heard muffled sounds of weeping coming from inside.

The two followed the sounds into the bedroom where the noise was coming from. Zhan Zhao turned on the light and saw a man lying on the bed who was tied up and had tape covering his mouth.

Bai Yutang searched the room, but there was no one, just some dried blood stains on the floor…

“What’s wrong?” Zhan Zhao tore the tape off of the man’s mouth.

The man replied while panting, “Just… a woman with blood all over her body broke into my house, tied me up, and left… Just now, the woman came back again through the window with bandages on her body.”

Bai Yutang put away his gun and rushed downstairs, searching inside and out, but there was no one there.

Seeing Bai Yutang’s angry face, Zhan Zhao walked over and said, “Forget it Xiao Bai, you are not the only one who was deceived… many of us were.”

Bai Yutang sighed, “What was the purpose of her doing that? She just wanted us to bandage her wounds?”

“There are also clues in the two things she said.” Zhan Zhao said, “There is another red-lipped killer, as well as the drug lord and the list on the SD card.”

At that time, Zhan Zhao’s cell phone rang, but it was from an unknown number. He picked it up, “Hello?”

“Dr. Zhan?” A familiar female voice came through the phone.

“Zhang Ying?”

Bai Yutang glanced at Zhan Zhao, then Zhan Zhao lowered his phone and turned on speakerphone.

“I’m sorry.” Zhang Ying whispered, “I took advantage of you so I had a temporary shelter.”

“What was your purpose?” Bai Yutang asked.

“Captain Bai, what I told you and the information on the SD card is all true, but I don’t believe in the police… I will use my own methods to punish those damn people. If you want to stop me, let me catch those damn people first!” After speaking, she hung up the phone.

Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang looked at each other.

“That’s…” Zhan Zhao frowned slightly, “I figured it out, her purpose!”

“Cat, what did you find?” Bai Yutang asked.

“Think about it!” Zhan Zhao frowned, “She made such a high-profile case for the red-lipped killer and got a successor… In this way, even if she disappeared, her successor will continue to kill and no one will doubt her again!”

Bai Yutang nodded.

“In addition…” Zhan Zhao walked into the room and asked the man who was still tied up and lying on the bed, “Tell me, what kind of clothes was the bloody woman who rushed in just now wearing?”

“Black.” The man replied with a mournful face, “When she broke in, she wore black, but when she came in through the window, she was wearing red…”

Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang looked at each other. Bai Yutang untied the ropes and said, “Call the police, she shouldn’t come here again.”

When he opened it, he saw that it was full of money. Just now, the woman had told him that if he didn’t call the police, kept silent, and only told the first two people about her, then the money would be his to keep. After thinking for a while, the man sighed. He stuffed the money back under the bed, took a bath, and got ready for bed.

Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang went downstairs again and found the corridor where Zhang Ying had rushed out from. They rummaged through the trash can and found a bloody black suit.

“She deliberately changed into the red dress that was short and sleeveless, and she injured almost all of her limbs so that she would not be suspected.” Zhan Zhao said, “But when she went to steal the information, she should have been wearing the black clothes.”

“The drug lord might think that she is dead, and even if she is not dead, we were sheltering her.” Bai Yutang sighed, “She is very smart. By doing this, on one hand, she liberated herself and easily dealt with those people, and on the other hand, she told us a lot of clues.”

Zhan Zhao nodded. At that moment, Bai Yutang’s phone rang. He picked it up and found that it was Gongsun, “Hello?”

“Hello? Did you find her?” Gongsun asked, “Ma Xin woke up.”

“We’ll be back soon.” Bai Yutang hung up the phone and took the elevator back upstairs with Zhan Zhao.

When they opened the door of their apartment, they saw Ma Xin sitting on the sofa with a look of annoyance, muttering, “I have been fighting with my brother for nothing.” Seeing Bai Yutang and Zhan Zhao come back, she flatly said, “Captain, I was wrong, you can punish me.”

Bai Yutang couldn’t laugh or cry, “What am I punishing you for? Fortunately, you are fine.”

“Ma Xin.” Zhan Zhao asked, “What happened just now?”

“She hit me on the back of my neck when I turned around, and then my vision went dark…” Ma Xin rubbed her neck as she spoke, “That trick is quite powerful. Learning to fight, it is very difficult for a woman to stun someone with a knife using only one hand, but… she is so strong!”

Bai Yutang and Zhan Zhao looked at each other and felt the same way. Zhang Ying was over 1.7 meters, and Ma Xin was just over 1.6 meters. She was petite, so it’s no wonder that she couldn’t defend against her… Thinking about it, they still blamed themselves for negligence.

At that time, the doorbell rang. The twins opened the door and Bao Zheng walked in.

Seeing that everyone was dark, Bao Zheng asked incomprehensively, “What’s wrong?”

Bai Yutang showed Bao Zheng the information and lists on the SD card, and then explained the incident to him.

Bao Zheng blinked, and looked at the group of people, “One is the captain of SCI, one is an internationally known psychologist, one is one of the best forensic pathologists in China, and the mafia… There were so many of you but you couldn’t stop a woman who had been shot so many times?”

Everyone blushed. Bai Jintang rubbed his nose and looked aside, and the twins whispered, “We are not mafia!”

Bao Zheng glared at the group, “The people on this list are all celebrities. You want to open a case for investigation based on the one-sided words of a killer, it’s too difficult… Collect more evidence!”

Bai Yutang nodded, “Yes Sir!”

After making a trip in vain, Bao Zheng asked for a copy of the lists and shook his head.

Seeing that it was early in the morning, it was too late to go back to the police station to do the autopsy, so Gongsun and Bai Jintang went back home to sleep.

The twins sent Ma Xin home and left immediately, leaving Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang alone in the room. Zhan Zhao sat in front of the computer, staring at it in a daze. Bai Yutang cleaned up and wiped up the blood.

“Xiao Bai.” Zhan Zhao suddenly called out, “If you have been shot that many times, can you still climb out the window and jump into the downstairs window?”

Bai Yutang wrung out the rag and threw it into the basin, then reached out for the tray that Gongsun left. Using tweezers to carefully put all of the bullets into an evidence bag, Bai Yutang said, “She was shot six times, it would be impossible for an ordinary person to move!”

“Luo Tian should be okay to move.” Zhan Zhao said lightly.

“Cat?” Bai Yutang asked in surprise, “Do you suspect that Zhang Ying doesn’t feel pain?”

“It just feels weird.” Zhan Zhao wrinkled his nose. Seeing that Bai Yutang was preparing to wash the sofa cover, he said, “Xiao Bai, don’t wash it now. Go to sleep and do it tomorrow.”

“It’s covered in blood.” Bai Yutang frowned slightly, as his OCD towards cleanliness made it a little unpleasant for him to see dirty things.

Zhan Zhao dragged him away, “Don’t feel depressed about it.”

“Where am I depressed?” Bai Yutang raised his eyebrows.

Bai Yutang took off the sofa cover, feeling even more upset.

“So we’ll just dive into the plan she set?” Bai Yutang raised his eyebrows.

“If we didn’t, we wouldn’t have been able to get a clue like the SD card, and we may not be able to catch her, right?” Zhan Zhao said, “I suspect that none of the lip marks on the cards are hers, they should all be her apprentice. Zhan Zhao stretched his hand out and pulled him up with satisfaction, then walked towards the bedroom. When he reached the door, he suddenly remembered something, “By the way, Xiao Bai.”

“En?”  Bai Yutang was surprised, “Any clues?”

Zhan Zhao couldn’t laugh or cry. He leaned over and kissed the corner of his mouth, and smiled, “Happy birthday.”
