"Catch this man and we will know the meaning of this coin." Zhan Zhao picked up the coin and looked at it, "Keep him alive and I can make him talk!"

Bai Yutang nodded, "Don't worry Cat, the one handed over to you will definitely be alive."

By the time that fake Liang Yan reached the final level, he had used up all of the explosives on his body and looked a little worse for wear, he had even taken off his jacket.

Bai Yutang gave Zhao Zhen a wink, "It's your turn."

"Oh." Zhao Zhen headed out.

"Wait." Bai Chi took three of Zhao Zhen's flying daggers and gave them to him, "It's good to be prepared."

"He's almost naked…"

"Not necessarily," Zhan Zhao said, "there's something in this world called a suicide bomb."

"No way." Zhao Zhen's eyes widened at Zhan Zhao, "Could this kid have been trained in the Middle East?"

"Alright," Zhan Zhao pushed him out, "go on. A suicide bomb has to be remotely controlled. All of the signals here are jammed, so he has to control it himself manually. A cold weapon is better than a hot one."

"No need to be so dangerous." Zhao Zhen was pushed out. Bai Chi was going to follow him out, but Zhan Zhao pulled him back, "Ah, Chi Chi, wait, you are the key, I will let you out later and then you can go."

"Oh."

Bai Chi followed Zhan Zhao to the next room, and the door was closed.

Bai Yutang stood aside and saw Gongsun leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, laughing in a low voice.

"What is it? Bai Yutang turned back to look at him.

Gongsun lowered his voice and gestured for him to look at Zhan Zhao, "Is he excited?"

Bai Yutang was a little puzzled.

"He does have the character of a cat who likes to keep everything under control, as if he is playing a game of chess, with every move at his command and everyone under control in the palm of his hand." Gongsun took a sip of wine and looked at Bai Yutang, "Of course… except for you."

Bai Yutang smiled down, "Much like someone?"

"Mhmm." Gongsun shook the cup in his hand, "I was thinking that back in the day, it might have been boring to have such an IQ and ability without doing something wrong."

Bai Yutang looked back at him, "What do you want to say?"

Gongsun put down his cup and stuck his hands into the pockets of his white coat, "The best way to make a smart person do something wrong is probably – to make him bored."

Bai Yutang faintly froze and turned his eyes to look at him, "Are you saying that… it was for this reason that Zhao Jue was locked up back then?"

Gongsun shrugged, "I only saw Zhan Zhao and felt it, I don't have any proof."

Bai Yutang looked back at Zhan Zhao who was watching the situation outside with Bai Chi… he was indeed excited.

Although this cat is naturally quiet and immobile, he will definitely be bored to death if he is not allowed to use his brain. The best way to make a smart person do evil is to make him bored… Maybe Gongsun has hit the nail on the head.

"He's at the door." Jiang Ping, keeping track of the fake Liang Yan through the surveillance screens, saw that he had reached the door of the special ward and was reaching out, slowly pushing the door open.

Zhao Zhen was leaning back in bed, a snack in his hand…

This was made for him by Bai Chi. Zhao Zhen had been resting after finishing his tour and Bai Chi wanted to fatten him up, however, Zhao Zhen was always lazy like a fallen aristocrat; he would not eat until he fed him, and he did not know he was hungry until he died of starvation. In the end, Bai Chi had no choice but to force him to eat six meals a day, mostly by feeding him himself. Bai Chi thought, 'This man must have been an emperor in his past life, otherwise why would he be so difficult to serve?'

At this moment, Zhao Zhen was yelling that he was hungry. He doesn't like to eat anything from the mountains or the sea, but he likes to eat things like green vegetables, egg noodles and fried rice cooked by Bai Chi….

After pushing open the door, Liang Yan looked at Zhao Zhen's condition and clearly froze…

"He seems to have been greatly stimulated." Bai Yutang said to Zhan Zhao.

"That's right, in his impression, Zhao Zhen is in a vegetative state, and he is ready to come and die with Zhao Zhen." Gongsun watched from the back, shaking his head… These two were like two children who were playing pranks together.

The fake Liang Yan looked at Zhao Zhen in disbelief.

Zhao Zhen smiled and reached out, gently pressing the button in his hand, "Welcome…"

After saying that, another "bang" was heard and another iron cage fell down, firmly catching him.

"Ah!" The man suddenly began to shout, as if he had gone mad, and fumbled all over his body for something that could be used to unlock the cage. However, this time the cage didn't have a lock and was incredibly heavy, so it wasn't something he could break through.

Zhao Zhen raised his hand and threw a knife… Fake Liang Yan was defenceless and was struck in the hand, then went to use his other hand and was struck again.

Seeing the button fall to the floor… Zhao Zhen saw that it was not good and rolled over to hide on the other side of the bed… Fortunately, all of the radios here were jammed and none of the signals worked, so there was no explosion.

The man wanted to lift his foot to step on that button, but in terms of hands and feet, even the best thief in the world is no match for Zhao Zhen. He easily pulled the button out with a very thin wire that he normally used… and put it on the bedside table.

"Phew…" Zhao Zhen stood up and when he saw that the fake Liang Yan was still mad, he said, "Hey, can you stop making all that noise!"

"I want you to die! I love you so much, I've given you everything…"

Zhao Zhen looked at the sky and turned his face to look at the side door.

At this time, Zhan Zhao gently patted Bai Chi's shoulder, "It's your turn, success or failure depends on your performance!"

"En." Bai Chi was still a little nervous. Holding the coin that Zhan Zhao had given him in his hand, he walked out.

"Chi Chi? Don't come out." Zhao Zhen stopped Bai Chi, "He…"

Before Zhao Zhen finished his sentence, Bai Chi cupped his face and moved forward to give him a kiss.

The group was astonished.

Liang Yan's eyes widened, and then he began to bang his head in agitation.

They saw Bai Chi suddenly change his usual good-natured and honest self as he gave that fake Liang Yan a smug look and reached out to hold up the coin.

As he watched his eyes bulge from agitation, Bai Yutang asked Zhan Zhao, "How is it going?"

Zhan Zhao nodded, "It's about time, let's begin!"

Bai Yutang took the gun with the anaesthetic solution from the table… then aimed it at the agitated fake Liang Yan and fired.

Liang Yan was shot and fell to the ground, and after a few moments, promptly fell unconscious.

By this time, Luo Tian and the others had all arrived, and there were two more people in the white car, both of whom had been captured alive.

Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang called for a doctor.

Together with the doctor, Qin Ou took the fake Liang Yan into the operating room, first taking X-rays to determine the location, then taking out all the suspicious items from his body. There were indeed a small, powerful bomb in his stomach, which he had swallowed.

Qin Ou dismantled the bomb and explained to Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang: "Although it is a very simple explosive, it is equivalent to a hand grenade for example." The operation was a great success!

In some of the young men's bodies, chips were taken out. Jiang Ping analysed the chips, which were just ordinary identification systems which originally had GPS positioning capabilities. However, it was now determined that the signal had disappeared, indicating that no one was paying attention to them anymore, that they had been banished, true abandoned sons.

Using that coin, Zhan Zhao set up a conversation on both sides.

The group felt that Zhan Zhao was like a trickster, using just a few simple tricks to get everyone to tell the truth – and the key to that so-called technique was – the abandoned son!

Luo Tian sat watching. Ma Xin was by his side, patting him on the shoulder, "Will it be difficult? Go home and rest first. It's been a tough time for all of you."

Luo Tian shook his head, "I'm not tired… I just don't understand why they care so much about their status as abandoned sons."

"Do you not mind that you were abandoned and eliminated?" Ma Xin asked.

Luo Tian laughed, "I have felt grateful more than once, grateful to be an abandoned son, grateful to be forgotten and to have escaped."

"Because what you want is different."

At this time, Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang, who had finished their interrogation, walked out.

"Captain, Dr. Zhan," Luo Tian stood up and asked, "how did it go?"

"All the confessions have been made." Bai Chi held up a thick stack of paperwork, "There were so many questions this time!"

"First of all, what is the difference in what they want?" Ma Xin asked.

"It turns out that this group of people weren't taken for experiments like Luo Tian… they defected to this organisation on their own!" Bai Yutang tossed the coin, "So they were abandoned, and they were very upset!"

"Voluntary defection?" Luo Tian found it unbelievable.

"Most of them are people who are not recognized but have special abilities!" Zhan Zhao smiled faintly, "We have a lot of clues this time."

After that, the group gathered at the SCI office, and Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang told everyone the whole story of this case.

The name of this coin is 'Abandoned Eagle'.

Including Liang Yan back then, there were a total of fifty children who participated in a so-called selection.

Most of them were poor children, some of them even homeless, and they all had some kind of special ability.

Li Ying was the organiser of this project.

Out of the fifty candidates, fifteen were selected for special skills training, including Liang Yan, this fake Liang Yan, and many others.

However, at some point that year, seemingly around the same time as Luo Tian's escape, that plan was suddenly put on hold, resulting in this group of geniuses, who considered themselves to be outstanding, being reduced to abandoned sons overnight.

These abandoned sons were each given an Abandoned Eagle medal, and at first they thought they were ready for action as retired reservists, however, shortly afterwards, they were discharged and finally learnt the identity of each other as abandoned sons.

When Liang Yan gathered these abandoned sons together, they used the Abandoned Eagle as a marker. Liang Yan was obsessed with Qin Ou back then and ended up dying, and all of this was seen by everyone.

Not willing to be forgotten, those abandoned sons decided to do it themselves and needed two things - money and the results of Zhao Jue's research.

And halfway through, something went wrong - the fake Liang Yan fell in love with Zhao Zhen.

It's interesting to note that within these abandoned sons, multiple fake Liang Yan's were found. All of them seemed to rely heavily on Liang Yan to give them courage, probably because many of them had grown up with him.

A certain fake Liang Yan approached Xiao Yi and gave him a doll, which everyone in the organisation has… The purpose of the doll was to draw out Qin Ou. They wanted Qin Ou to help them defuse the bomb, but they didn't expect that Zhao Jue would interfere and the matter came to nothing.

And that super fan of Zhao Zhen's gave the crowd another glimpse of hope.

That person was indeed infatuated with Zhao Zhen because he helped him out back then.

In the end, he was discovered by Zhao Zhen who recognized his appearance, which is why he had a facelift… and several other members of the Abandoned Eagle Organisation wanted to use this case to find the gold.　　

The purpose of doing all this is simple – to get back at the organisation for abandoning them, to prove that they are not abandoned sons, and to do something big, just like Liang Yan.

And so, a series of schemes unfolded.

First it was the ghost murderer who borrowed the attack on the taxis to attack those around Zhao Zhen. Then came the bombs to lure out Qin Ou as well as Chen Yu, allowing the police to turn up old cases from years ago, thus also going toe-to-toe with Li Ying, who had abandoned them.

They know quite a lot of secrets about the organisation, especially information about Zhao Jue's research.

The case is complicated because the other side is not one clever pervert, but a group of clever perverts.

This group of intelligent perverts has certain abilities, ambitions and, above all, are completely out of touch with society, and so their behaviour and intentions cannot be deduced from common sense. It's like saying that killing someone for fifty dollars is understandable to the general public, but killing someone over a pair of slippers is just unbelievable. Perverts have their own way of thinking. Ultimately, it is the word "obsession" that leads them to their downfall.

Whether it's an obsession with proving their abilities.

An obsession with having the one they love.

An obsession for revenge against the organisation that had abandoned them.

Each mistake was just a small step forward. The trail was grasped and eventually they were all caught in the net.

But in the words of Bao Zheng, obsession is secondary, the point is, when dealing with perverts, one needs a pervert who is more talented than them, one hundred times smarter than them, and certainly a hundred times more perverted than them; a compliment which Zhan Zhao rightly deserves.

The truth of the case came out and a large group of prisoners were sent to a special prison.

It took SCI a whole week to write the closing report, which was long enough to publish as a detective novel.

However, the first thing Bao Zheng did when he got the report was to ask Zhan Zhao, "You didn't ask for even the slightest clue about that organisation?"

Zhan Zhao shook his head honestly, but paired it with a sly smile, "To paraphrase what you said before about interrogating Li Ying… this is our case."

"Tsk, this kid…"

Zhan Zhao looked at the sky, he naturally asked for some important clues, and he would use them to decipher Zhao Jue's coded information. Bao Zheng and the others wanted to know if they could… exchange the clues with those they got from Li Ying.

There was nothing Bao Zheng could do about it, he was squeezed between two generations and was in a dilemma, so he simply didn't bother.

A few days after the case was solved, the SCI group was busy with two things.

One was to wrap up the case, and the other was to help Qin Ou renovate and move.

Qin Ou sold his old house and replaced it with a new, bigger one, very close to Luo Tian's house, as he had decided to bring Xiao Yi back to raise him. Xiao Yi and Luo Yang became classmates, and it was convenient to go to and from school every day, and they can take care of each other.

Yang Fan resumed his job and since the hospital was very close to Qin Ou's house, at Xiao Yi's strong request, Yang Fan also moved in and shared a house with Qin Ou while taking care of Xiao Yi.

Zhan Zhao gave Qin Ou a month-long psychological rehabilitation treatment.

A month later, SCI welcomed another new member, Qin Ou.

From this day onwards, Qin Ou was partnered with Luo Tian in the field. Bai Chi was completely transferred to a civilian position, and he found his goal in the work of the SCI.

Bai Chi has finally realised how unrealistic his original teenage self was when he had Bai Yutang as his goal, and that Zhan Zhao was a more ideal goal for him to strive for. Case 11 is done! Before starting case 12, I am going to take a slight break from SCI, which will be no longer than two weeks. I have a really important exam next week and two massive assignments that are due soon, and I want to get a few chapters ahead before I start posting. 

That being said, I will start posting case 4 next week.
