Bai Yutang took the CDs out and Jiang Ping came over to look at them, “Wow, CDs, the hope of humanity!”

The group looked at him helplessly.

Jiang Ping smiled as he took the CDs to the table and packed them up, ready to take them back and enjoy them, hoping that they had both important clues and a wonderful plot. At that moment, the forensic team arrived and started to collect evidence, and the officers wanted to put up the yellow police line to seal off the clinic.

Zhan Zhao hurriedly waved his hand and said, “Wait, you can’t bring them back, this place needs to stay the way it was.”

“Cat… what do you want to do?” Bai Yutang asked.

“This place is definitely a good place to lure snakes out of their holes.” Zhan Zhao said, “Who knows what we’ve taken from here? Right? There are key clues, and there will definitely be key people coming for them.”

Bai Yutang nodded as he listened, “That’s true.”

“We’ll have someone stay behind with a few officers.” Zhan Zhao said, “Maybe someone will come here to look for clues or to destroy the evidence.”

“En.” Bai Yutang nodded and said to the forensic team, “Search though it properly and take everything that should be taken.”

“Yes Sir!” The officers carefully gathered the evidence.

“It’s late, let’s go back first.” Bai Yutang looked at Zhan Zhao, “Cat, shall we go interrogate that split Jia Yuhua?”

“En.” Zhan Zhao nodded and left the clinic with Bai Yutang. Bai Chi and the others all got into the car together and prepared to go back.

Bai Yutang had just started the car when the phone in his pocket rang.

“Cat.” Bai Yutang didn’t answer and kept driving. Zhan Zhao reached into his pocket and took out the phone, then frowned slightly, “Ai Hu is calling?”

“Huh?” Bai Yutang was also a little surprised.

Zhan Zhao opened the flip phone and placed it at Bai Yutang’s ear.

“Hello?” Bai Yutang asked as he drove, “Ai Hu?”

On the phone, Ai Hu said something to Bai Yutang, who frowned and said, “I understand… En, then I’ll trouble you.”

Hanging up the phone, Zhan Zhao asked, “What’s wrong?”

“Sigh…” From Bai Yutang’s expression, Zhan Zhao could see that he seemed to be feeling a little troubled.

“Did something happen?” Bai Chi asked.

“Yellow Wolf ran away.” Bai Yutang suddenly said.

“Yellow Wolf?” Zhan Zhao froze, and Bai Chi rubbed his head, “Why does that name sound familiar?”

“The pervert we caught in front of the mall a few days ago.” Zhan Zhao said, “The one who caused Zhao Hu to almost get shot and who was beaten up by Ma Han.”

 “Oh! That kid!” Bai Chi was surprised, “He ran away? How is that possible?”

“Said he suddenly vomited blood in prison and told the officers that he might have stomach cancer… The officers took him to the hospital fully armed for a check-up, then he killed an officer and a doctor during the check-up and escaped.”

“Killed two?” Liu Qing’s eyes widened, “What a desperado!”

“En, a wanted notice has been put up and the whole city is searching for this kid.” Bai Yutang frowned as he spoke and looked at Zhan Zhao, “Cat, what do you think? Coincidence or what?”

“Running away at this time…” Zhan Zhao frowned and thought about it, “This kid is indeed a desperado, it seems that he was sentenced to life imprisonment before… But the timing of this escape seems a bit too coincidental. Besides, he killed a cop and a doctor… he’ll be shot if he’s caught.”

“You think so too?” Bai Yutang looked at him, “Either he doesn’t want to live anymore, or… there are other issues.”

“En.” Zhan Zhao nodded, “At the beginning of this case, this kid appeared at the mall, and then we met the first victim who died with a death smile…  Could there be some kind of connection to this case? Or is it simply a coincidence?”

“Sigh…” Bai Yutang frowned, “This Yellow Wolf is too dangerous and a pervert, I hope he is caught soon.”

“En…” Bai Chi rubbed his chin and asked with some concern, “Will he be looking to cause trouble for Ma Han?”

Bai Yutang frowned slightly, “Probably not, right, this kid just escaped and he wants to take such risks?”

“Not necessarily.” Zhan Zhao frowned, “He’s paranoid and violent, and used to retaliating after being frustrated, otherwise he’ll always hold a grudge.”

“What do you mean?” Bai Yutang wondered.

“He’s likely to go look for trouble with Ma Han, after all, Ma Han was the last person to have beaten him up and left him utterly frustrated.” Zhan Zhao said, “Also… whether his escape was his personal doing or whether someone helped him, this is important!”

“If someone helped him… that would be a problem.” Bai Yutang drove the car back to the police station, and everyone returned to the SCI office.

All of the SCI members were in the SCI office and they didn’t know that Yellow Wolf had escaped, as they were busy organizing the files and watching the nose-walking beast.

After Bai Yutang returned, he told everyone about Yellow Wolf’s escape.

“Huo, this kid actually escaped from prison!” Zhao Hu said in surprise, “If we don’t catch him, he’ll be a living murder weapon on the loose.”

“Ma Han, he might come after you,” Zhan Zhao said to Ma Han, “be careful these days.”

Ma Han smiled, “It’s good that he’s coming, I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to find him.”

As they were talking, Gongsun walked in with a stack of information and said, “Well… that nose-walking beast is real, but its body structure is odd, I really don’t know how it was bred. It looks like a deformity, it would be nice if it could be dissected.”

“It’s alive, it’s not good to dissect it, right?” Bai Chi asked with some concern.

“Both Ma Xin and I would love to,” Gongsun siad, “but those zoologists I consulted just now said that if I dare to dissect it, I should just hang myself at the door of my forensic room!”

Luo Tian was holding his coffee on the side when he saw Gongsun come in alone, so he asked, “Where’s Ma Xin?”

“Oh, she was busy until now. She said she was hungry and went downstairs to the convenience store to buy hot dogs.” When Gongsun finished, he heard Ma Han ask, “How long has she been gone?”

“Just left…” Before Gongsun could finish his sentence, he saw Ma Hasn run away. Luo Tian put down his cup and ran out, followed by Zhou Hu.

“What’s wrong?” Gongsun asked, puzzled.

Zhan Zhao frowned at Bai Yutang, who said to Jiang Ping, “Call the security station and have the officers at the gate find Ma Xin and accompany her back.”

“It can’t be that coincidental.” Jiang Ping picked up the phone and called the security station.

Bai Yutang and Zhan Zhao then went downstairs, with Gongsun following suit and asking, “What happened?”

“We’re probably overly sensitive,” Zhan Zhao frowned as he pressed the elevator button, “but it’s better to be careful.”

Ma Xin had worked with Gongsun until midnight and was so hungry that her stomach was growling. In her opinion, as a beautiful woman, it was very indecent to have a growling stomach, so she had to fill it up.

She went downstairs and walked towards the main entrance. Across the road in front of the police station, there was a 24-hour convenience store that sold a lot of food, particularly oden and hot dogs which were very tasty. Ma Xin was wondering whether to buy oden or hot dogs, or both, or add a tea egg to them, or if she should get noodles.

She looked at the road and saw that there were no cars, so she put her hands in her pockets and tried to run across the road… Before she could run across the road, she caught a glimpse of a white van that was parked on the corner now suddenly rushing towards her.

Ma Xin was startled. Fortunately, she was not a cowardly girl, she was quite agile and backed up quickly… but the white van stopped in front of her, and Ma Xin instinctively sensed danger. 

As she stepped back, she saw the van door suddenly open… Two men rushed out and pulled her into the van.

Ma Xin was startled when she heard someone shout from behind her, “Xin Xin!”

Ma Xin heard Ma Han’s voice, but she was already being dragged into the van.

Naturally, Ma Xin tried to resist. As a woman, Ma Xin is definitely considered tough. Feeling someone yanking her hair, she was immediately furious and kicked the man in the vitals… The man who received her kick fell backwards in the van, while another man pulled her back further into the van. It was not that easy to drag Ma Xin, as she was kicking and punching.

The men did not wait for the door to close before driving off. Luo Tian and Ma Han chased after them… Seeing the van getting further away, Ma Han took out his gun and tried to shoot.

Just when the van door was about to close… a black car approached.

Ma Han immediately recognized the black Mercedes, and without thinking about it too much,  he pointed at the white van…

The black Mercedes was about to pass the white van when it suddenly turned and crashed directly into it.

The van was pushed halfway into the flower garden with the hit and tried to continue driving forward, but the Mercedes reversed hard, forcing the van directly onto the flower garden, which was surrounded by a large number of shrubs and trees. At that moment, Luo Tian and Ma Han arrived.

The door of the black Mercedes opened and Bai Jintang stepped out. He was not quite sure what had just happened, but he saw Luo Tian and Ma Han rush past him and go directly to the van.

From the side, Zhou Hu shouted, “Brother, good driving skills!”

“What’s wrong?” Bai Jintang asked.

Before Zhou Hu could answer, he saw Ma Xin jump out of the van, her face white with fear. Jumping to her feet, she shouted, “Brother, he just yanked my hair! Beat him up!”

Bai Jintang then heard footsteps behind him. Turning around, he saw that Bai Yutang, Zhan Zhao, and the others had also come over.

Zhou Hu went over and asked Ma Xin, “Sis, is everything okay? Were you taken advantage of?”

“What are you talking about?” Ma Xin stared at him, “It’s not that easy to take advantage of me! I have a scalpel in my pocket, I’ll castrate them!”

The corners of Zhou Hu’s mouth twitched. Hiding a scalpel in her pocket was definitely something she learned from Gongsun.

Gongsun pulled Bai Jintang over and asked, “Why are you here?”

Bai Jintang had guessed what was going on. Lighting a cigarette, he said, “I wanted to pick you up, and I coincidentally bumped into them.”

“Is everything okay?” Zhan Zhao went over and asked Ma Xin.

“No.” Ma Xin rubbed her hair, still seemingly upset because of the two men who had just grabbed her.

“Ah.” Bai Yutang saw the mess inside the van and said, “Don’t beat them to death, we have to ask them questions.”

Then they saw Ma Han and Luo Tian come out of the van dragging three people in handcuffs with them.

One of them was Yellow Wolf, and the other two looked like gangsters.

Zhou Hu went over and looked at Yellow Wolf, saying with a face of admiration, “Kid, you’re really good! You ran away and still came back to do evil?”

Ai Hu came over with some police officers. Bai Yutang looked at Zhan Zhao, and raised an eyebrow at him as if to ask, “Are there any problems?”

After thinking about it, Zhan Zhao looked at Ai Hu, “Ai Hu, these three people should be handed over to SCI first, there are some things we want to ask them.”

“Alright! After you’re done asking questions, just send him straight to be executed, this kid is dead.” Ai Hu huffed and handed the man over to Zhao Hu and the others, and left with his men.

Zhan Zhao looked at Yellow Wolf and then at Ma Xin, who was off to the side, and asked, “How do you know who she is?”

Yellow Wolf stared at Zhan Zhao for a moment, but he didn’t answer, he simply lifted the corner of his mouth up into a smile. That smile paired with the wound at the corner of his mouth was somewhat gruesome.

Ma Han also found it strange. According to reason, Yellow Wolf had just escaped, how could he know that Ma Xin was his sister?

“Hmm…” Zhan Zhao touched his nose and said to Bai Yutang, “Xiao Bai, ask Jiang Ping to check which people Yellow Wolf had contact with while he was in prison, and among those people, who could have possibly known about Ma Han’s background or have an understanding of SCI.”

When Zhan Zhao finished speaking, he saw Yellow Wolf’s eyebrows raise slightly.

“Oh?” Zhan Zhao smiled in amusement, “Did you meet them in prison… That’s interesting.”
