Hearing Ye Ling uttering the word ‘murderer’, both Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang frowned. Zhan Zhao looked at Ye Ling, “Which murderer?”

Ye Ling widened her eyes and looked at Zhan Zhao, whispering, “Mo Mo, gave you forgotten? It’s Code 1.”

“Code 1…” Zhan Zhao asked, “Does he have a name?”

Ye Ling tilted her head for a moment, and then said, “I don’t know about this, don’t you know it?”

“Me?” Zhan Zhao asked, “You mean, he knows me?”

“Yeah.” Ye Ling said as she stretched her hand out and gently played with one of Zhan Zhao’s sleeves, and muttered to herself, “Isn’t Code 1 your friend? That why he was the first one to easily kill you.”

Zhan Zhao thought for a while, then took a few photos from Bai Yutang and handed them to Ye Ling, “Look at these, is Code 1 there?”

Ye Ling leaned over and looked at the photos one by one, then shook her head, “No.”

Zhan Zhao frowned, ‘Could this murder be someone else?’

As he was thinking about it, Ye Ling leaned forward and put Zhan Zhao’s arm around herself, “Mo Mo, let’s go to eat, okay? I want to eat the chicken drumstick rice from Yanhe Tea Restaurant, I haven’t eaten it for a long time!”

“Yanhe Tea Restaurant…” Zhan Zhao thought for a while, then asked, “Is it the one we went to eat together at?”

“En.” Ye Ling nodded, “Mo Mo, the food in that restaurant is really delicious and the boss is really nice.”

“Have I been there with Code 1?” Zhan Zhao asked.

Zhan Zhao nodded and turned to look at Bai Yutang.

Bai Yutang leaned against the door, staring at Ye Ling coldly, and saw that she was leaning against Zhan Zhao. Bai Yutang’s teeth were almost crushed by his grinding.

Zhan Zhao thought for a while, then spoke to Ye Ling, “Ling Ling, are you thirsty? Should I pour you a glass of water?”

Ye Ling looked at Zhan Zhao happily and nodded, “Well, Mo Mo, can you get me orange juice? I want to drink orange juice.”

Okay, I’ll buy it for you.” After Zhan Zhao finished speaking, he stood up and walked out the door. Bai Yutang also left the room. Jasmine went in to accompany Ye Ling and closed the door for Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang.

Bai Yutang asked Jiang Ping to check the address of Yanhe Tea Restaurant. The news he got was that it is an old-fashioned restaurant, and it is still in business. Because the food is delicious and unique, the business has been very good.

Bai Yutang pulled Zhan Zhao’s arm, “Let’s go Cat, let’s check it out. Maybe someone still remembers Code 1 from their part-time job.”

Zhan Zhao hesitated and said, “I want to hypnotize Ye Ling.”

Bai Yutang was awkward, “What’s the rush…”

Zhan Zhao saw Bai Yutang’s unhappy face, and smiled, “Why, do you mind?”

“Cat, what’s the matter?” Bai Yutang asked.

Zhan Zhao thought for a while and said, “I don’t understand it. Did you bring the headset?”

Bai Yutang smiled and took out the MP3, “Chi Chi left in my car that day.”

Zhan Zhao entered the room and originally wanted Jasmine to leave, but she insisted on being inside, saying that this was a once-in-a-lifetime study opportunity, and that she would rather be hypnotized and run out naked than miss watching it. Finally, the helpless Zhan Zhao agreed to hypnotize Ye Ling while Bai Yutang and Jasmine were standing in two corners of the room wearing headphones.

Zhan Zhao grasped Ye Ling’s wrist in one hand, and asked her according to her pulse, “Ye Ling, today is the summer of 1999, and the summer vacation is starting soon. You are all going to Yedu Club to listen to some music.”

“En.” Ye Ling nodded, “Go to buy a CD, band, like.”

Zhan Zhao then asked, “Do you like Hao Mo?”

“Like.” Ye Ling replied, “Mo Mo is different from ordinary boys, he has a good heart and is a simple person.”

Zhan Zhao continued to ask, “Are ordinary boys complicated? For example, those around Hao Mo?”

If it hadn’t been for Zhan Zhao’s instructions to not make a sound, Bai Yutang would have already rushed forward and demanded to know who was telling the truth! Now there is someone saying that Hao Mo did not die, who was the person that truly died that year?

“Mo Mo didn’t die, so where is Mo Mo?” Zhan Zhao asked.

“In… a very, very safe place.” Ye Ling laughed happily, “No one can hurt him!”

Seeing that he couldn’t get more about this topic, Zhan Zhao went on to ask, “Was there a fire?”

“En.” Ye Ling nodded, “It was a big fire.”

“During the fire, many people burned to death, right?” Zhan Zhao asked.

“No.” Ye Ling shook her head blankly, “Only one died.”

Zhan Zhao frowned. It is impossible for a hypnotized person to lie, but the truth of that year was that there was a total of five corpses. That is to say, only one person was actually burned to death, the others were already dead.

“It’s… It’s…” Ye Ling suddenly started struggling frantically. Her eyes suddenly widened, and she sat upright while yelling, “Ahhhhhhhh…”

Her yell was terrible. Looking at Ye Ling who became frantic, Bai Yutang rushed over and held her down, “Cat, let her wake up, hurry up!”

Zhan Zhao nodded, looked at his watch, and spoke to Ye Ling, “Ye Ling, come back now, don’t be caught by the darkness. I will count to three and you will come back. One, two, three…” When he said ‘three’, Zhan Zhao raised his hand and patted Ye Ling’s shoulder. Ye Ling woke up abruptly, huffing and puffing. She opened her eyes in horror and looked around.

“Mo Mo!” Ye Ling rushed over and hugged Zhan Zhao with her shaking body.

“Cat, what’s wrong with her?” Bai Yutang asked.

Zhan Zhao stretched his hand out to pat Ye Ling’s shoulder, whispering softly to calm her down. The he turned around and spoke to Bai Yutang and Jasmine, “Do you know why Ye Ling went crazy?”

The two shook their heads at the same time.

Zhan Zhao sighed, “The long-term hypnosis was not completely relieved, which made her unable to distinguish between reality and dreams… Ye Ling was hypnotized back then, so what she and Zhang Hua saw might not be real. The murderer this time is not only very real, but amazing and cruel.”
