One of the ten incredible events: Laughter in the forensic room

Time: July 14 at 12 o'clock in the evening

Location: SCI office

Event: During construction at a construction site that morning, several ancient corpses were dug up. They looked like they were thousands of years old. Because identification requires good equipment, and the SCI forensic room has the most advanced equipment in S City, Gongsun requested for the corpses to be transported there. Bai Chi leaned on the sofa near the door and read. He didn’t want to go watch the movie because Jiang Ping and the others watch horror movies. While reading his book, Bai Chi suddenly heard a strange laughter floating in from outside.

Bai Chi was taken aback, and quickly turned around to look. However, there was no one at the door.

Bai Chi looked around. Not far away, Jiang Ping and his computer were both screaming. Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang were busy in Zhan Zhao’s office… The laughter would not have come from them, and they seemed to have not heard it in his office.

Turning his face again, Bai Chi felt his heart jump…. Luo Tian, who had been relaxing on the sofa, suddenly sat up and was staring behind Bai Chi with wide eyes.

Seeing Luo Tian’s eyes, Bai Chi felt panic in his heart and his back turned cold. He got up and flew behind Luo Tian. At the same time that he poked his head out to look, he heard it again; there was another weird laugh.

“Ah!” Bai Chi yelled. When he yelled, Jiang Ping and the others were watching one of the scariest parts of the movie. Bai Chi’s yelling frightened the group, and Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang turned to look at them.

“Chi Chi, what are you doing?” Zhao Hu asked.

Jiang Ping paused the movie as Bai Chi pointed out the door, “Listen, there was someone laughing.”

Everyone looked at each other, then looked out the door, but there was no one there. Bai Yutang walked over and asked, “What are you doing?”

As soon as his voice fell, they heard another burst of laughter outside the door. The laughter was hoarse and a little weird…

“Okay… It seems to be coming from next door.” Zhao Hu trembled, “That… could it be Gongsun reading a strange novel again?”

Everyone looked at each other and felt that Gongsun’s laugh didn’t seem as grim as the mysterious laugh.

“Let’s go and see.” Luo Tian stood up and opened the door, intending to go out.

“Hey, wait!” Bai Chi grabbed Luo Tian, “Is it… that thing?”

“What?” Luo Tian didn’t understand and looked back at Bai Chi.

“En, brother!” Zhao Hu said, “Didn’t Gongsun bring three corpses back today?”

Bai Chi quickly hid behind Luo Tian, “What is it?!”

“Let’s take a look.” Bai Yutang took the lead and walked out.

Zhan Zhao hurriedly chased him out, saying, “Xiao Bai, don’t kill anyone who is alive, leave one to play with!”

Jiang Ping was excited, “I want to go too!”

“I don’t want to go.” Bai Chi whispered to Luo Tian and Ma Han, “It’s scary.”

“Agreed!” Zhao Hu nodded.

Luo Tian and Ma Han looked at each other, and chased the others out.

Bai Chi and Zhao Hu were left alone in the office. Bai Chi looked at Zhao Hu, and Zhao Hu looked at Bai Chi, then they called out in unison, “Wait for us!”

Walking out of the office, the laughter rang out again. Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang clearly heard the sound coming from Gongsun’s forensic room.

Glancing at each other, the two hurried to the door of the forensic room. Bai Yutang grabbed the doorknob, and the rest of the group ran over.

Bai Yutang and Zhan Zhao looked at each other. As soon as there were three other people with them, Bai Yutang turned his hand and opened the door…

The moment the door was opened, they heard gloomy laughter coming from inside, and the first thing that everyone saw was the three corpses sitting on the examination table… Yes, they were not lying, but sitting.

“Heh…” Seeing that, even Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang jumped in surprise. The three corpses were staring at the door with the black holes where their eyes should be. Their lips were rotten and their teeth were exposed. The laughter seemed to be coming from their mouths.

“Ah!” Bai Chi was frightened twice in a row, and behind him, Zhao Hu was also scared. The other people were not scared at first, but they were startled by the two people. Then they heard a voice coldly ask, “What are you doing?”

Everyone came back to their senses and saw that the white shadow behind them was not a ghost, but Gongsun.

“Gongsun, why are you back?” Zhan Zhao blinked and asked.

“I forgot to take something.” Gongsun said as he walked into the forensic room.

“Gongsun… Why are the corpses sitting up?” Zhan Zhao asked curiously.

“Oh, they were sitting when they were dug out, that’s why they’re strange.” Gongsun said as he stretched his hand out and took a small box from under the table.

At that time, everyone discovered that the laughter came from the small box.

“What is that?” Bai Yutang leaned over curiously.

Gongsun looked at the group and said, “I bought a good thing online the other day.” As he spoke, he opened the lid of the box, reached in, and took a skeleton out of it.

“Heh…” Everyone gasped.

“You bought a skeleton online?” Bai Chi asked him with his eyes wide open.

“It’s not an ordinary skeleton.” Gongsun said with a smile, “It’s the Witch Gu alarm clock!” As he spoke, the alarm clock opened its mouth and laughed ‘He he he’. (Angel: Witch Gu is a folk custom of ancient beliefs. It is a witchcraft used to harm the enemy.)

“I received it this afternoon. I wanted to try the alarm, so I set it to twelve o’clock… Hey, isn’t it cute?” Gongsun’s face was radiating ‘I like it’ and he put the skeleton back carefully. As he closed the box, he said, “Your brother is waiting for me downstairs, I’m leaving first.” After he finished speaking, he ran away contentedly with the box.

The others looked at Gongsun’s back and stood motionless for a long time.

Everyone turned their heads… The corpses were still in the same state as before. When they looked down, they saw that Gongsun had left his phone on the table.

Bai Yutang thought that it was very interesting, so he sent one too. When his text arrived, he heard his voice shouting “Dead cat!”. It seemed that it was recorded by Gongsun.

Ma Han sent one and the sound that followed was from Kaspersky Anti-Virus. (Angel: The author used 卡巴斯基杀毒, which after much Googling, I could only conclude was Kaspersky Anti-Virus. Maybe the author used like a notification noise from the software, I’m not too sure.)

Luo Tian also sent one, and they all heard a tender voice call out, “My father is looking for you.”; it was Luoyang’s voice.

Zhao Hu was amused and sent one as well. The sound that rang out was Crayon Shin-chan saying “It’s terrible…”

Zhao Hu was embarrassed and everyone was dumbfounded. Zhan Zhao patted Bai Chi and asked, “Bai Chi, would you like to try?”

Bai Chi hesitated for a while, not knowing what his strange sound would be, but he couldn’t suppress his curiosity. He sent a text message…. But there was no sound.

Everyone looked at each other, ‘Why is there no sound?’

After waiting a while, there was still no sound.

Everyone curiously leaned over the phone, looking at it. There was a text message from Bai Chi.

“Why was there no sound?” Bai Chi puzzled.

“How about you try to make a call?” Zhan Zhao suggested. Bai Chi dialed Gongsun’s cell phone, and after a while, he heard the cell phone ring, “Little rabbit, open the door…”

That night, everyone studied Gongsun’s phone in the forensic room. The next day, everyone in the police station was spreading the story; “Listen to this. There were horrible voices coming from the forensic room last night. Were the corpses chatting? The laughter was too scary, yes, there were people signing…”

Xiao Bai Yutang was stunned. After thinking for a while, he took Xiao Zhan Zhao’s hand and continued walking. In front of them was the snake house. Xiao Zhan Zhao asked, “If the snake has an itchy back, what should it do?”

Xiao Bai Yutang took Xiao Zhan Zhao and continued walking. When he arrived at the hippo pavilion, Xiao Zhan Zhao pointed at the little hippo, “What if he has an itchy stomach?”

Xiao Bai Yutang stared at him fiercely, “You are not allowed to like pandas, you are only allowed to like white mice!”

Xiao Zhan Zhao stopped smiling and murmured, “I just like this…”

Xiao Bai Yutang thought for a while, then stretched his hand out to hold Xiao Zhan Zhao’s hand and walked back,” Well, it’s a mouse, a mouse with black ears.”
