Murderer vs. Murderer 21 - Intent

Despite the fact that the Jeeps were in a mess, the people inside them were obviously well trained. After they got out of the Jeeps, they retreated to behind them and hid. One of them took out a cell phone and reported “Boss, Zhan Zhao ran away. Only Bai Yutang is left in front of us.”

The person on the other end of the phone was silent for a while, then lightly said “If you want to live, bring him back.”

“We can’t necessarily do that.” The subordinate replied. “He is very skilled.”

“Just lead him to a clear spot.” Their boss thought for a while and added, “Don’t hurt him, I want him alive!”

“Yes sir!” The subordinate hung up the phone and gestured to the other people. The group dispersed and began to approach Bai Yutang with stun batons in their hands.

Bai Yutang held his gun and glanced at the stun batons. He thought about it for a bit — ‘Looking at them, it seems like they want to take me alive…’

Zhan Zhao could no longer see Bai Yutang’s situation from the taxi, but he could see the cars of the twins, Bai Jintang, and Zhao Zhen approaching in the distance.

“Stop!” Zhan Zhao shouted to the driver. The car stopped quickly and Zhan Zhao got out.

Bai Jintang’s car and the twins’ car whizzed past him. As soon as Zhao Zhen’s car stopped, Zhan Zhao got in and said “They didn’t chase me, their goal must be Xiao Bai!”

Zhao Zhen stepped on the gas pedal and said “These people are arrogant enough to attack again and again!”

Bai Yutang saw a few people scattered around and approaching him. He didn’t show them any mercy and began to shoot. The men in front were hit and fell to the ground. Bai Yutang was taken aback and felt a little strange. Suddenly, he saw a figure in the trees next to him; one of the men had snuck up beside Bai Yutang. Bai Yutang moved to the side and avoided a row of bullets.

At that time, several other men had rushed up towards him. One of them took their stun baton and whacked him. After stumbling, he stood up, turned around, and jumped onto one of the men. Reaching out, he grabbed the man’s stun baton and threw it at the group approaching him. In an instant, it hit the group of people and they fell to the ground. He jumped off the man and kicked him.

Bai Yutang took a few steps back and turned his head. He could see the twins’ car approaching in the distance. At the same time, he was already standing away from the trees, near the other side of the road.

Just as the twins’ car was about to arrive, there was a whirring sound above him and a wind picked up. When Bai Yutang looked up, he saw a helicopter quickly rising behind him.

“Xiao Bai, be careful!” Zhan Zhao yelled as he saw the helicopter door open. Two men in black appeared with a large net gun.

Bai Yutang frowned. He was now on the side of the road where there was no aerial cover. The coverage of the net gun was at least four to five meters. As he was thinking about it, he had already dove and rolled to the side.

At the same time, a loud ‘bang’ sounded and a huge net opened and flew down. Bai Yutang was fast and was able to avoid the net. However, he didn’t expect that there was net gun on the other side of the helicopter as well, almost as if they had expected him to dive out of the way of the first one. With a second ‘bang’, a large net with a diameter of ten meters landed on Bai Yutang. The helicopter quickly rose, turned, and flew away with the net dangling below it. As the net suddenly tightened, Bai Yutang was lifted up and flew over the winding mountain road.

“Yutang!” Bai Jintang’s car had arrived and he shouted as he got out of the car. The twins had brought a bazooka with them, but after the helicopter flew off, it was three- to four-hundred meters above the ground. If they hit it, Bai Yutang would go down with it. The only option they had was to watch him be taken away.

Seeing that the mission had been accomplished, the men in black wanted to leave, but they were caught by the twins.

Zhan Zhao got out of Zhao Zhen’s car. He looked up at the helicopter and gritted his teeth; his expression was unprecedentedly ugly.

Zhao Zhen turned to look at Zhan Zhao and asked “What should we do now?”

Zhan Zhao stared at the disappearing helicopter, “Xiao Bai has a simple tracking system in his mobile phone. He will find a safe place to install it… All we can do is wait for the location then find him immediately.” After he spoke, he turned around and got back in the car.

Zhao Zhen observed Zhan Zhao’s expression carefully. For a moment, he felt as though he was hallucinating; Zhan Zhao’s expression as he spoke… looked like Zhao Jue.

Bai Yutang laid in the net and felt quite depressed; being caught like this was not a good look for him. He took the tracker out of his cell phone and put the cell phone back into his pocket. Sure enough, the net began to rise slowly. He tore off the plastic from the adhesive on the tracker and waited to be close to the helicopter. Once he was close enough, he attached the tracker in a corner between the landing skids and the bottom of the helicopter’s fuselage. Based off of his knowledge of aircrafts, this location would be the most difficult to find.

As he was lifted into the helicopter, four people stood there waiting with their guns aimed at him, while one was operating the pulley that brought him in.

As soon as he got into the plane, the person standing behind Bai Yutang pressed a stun gun into his shoulder. Bai Yutang frowned. The electric current from the stun gun entered his body, causing his whole body to go numb, and he fainted.

The people around him waited for a while with their guns still aimed at him. Once they saw that Bai Yutang was really out, they relaxed slightly and took him out of the net.

“Search him for cell phones, guns, and any other weapons.” The leader of the group ordered. “The boss said that he is not allowed to have anything.”

All of the cell phones found on Bai Yutang were thrown out of the helicopter. They handcuffed Bai Yutang’s hands behind his back and placed him on his side on a stretcher.

“Huh…” One of the men sighed and asked “How many men did he hurt?”

 “There were more than twenty.” Another replied.

“This kid is harder to catch than a tiger.” A third lit a cigarette and looked at the unconscious Bai Yutang. “I must say, this man is really good-looking.”

 The others glanced at each other and smiled. They sat on their seats and waited for the helicopter to land.

After Zhan Zhao returned to the villa, he called Jiang Ping to locate the tracker.

Originally, there are two trackers in a cell phone: one that could be uninstalled and another that couldn’t. Jiang Ping checked and found that Bai Yutang’s cell phone had not moved for a while, indicating that it had been thrown away. However, the other tracker’s position was still moving and it was heading towards the Mediterranean.

“It turns out they are located out at sea.” Bai Jintang frowned. “No wonder there was no obvious stronghold on the mainland.”

After waiting for a while, the twins brought all of the black-clothed men into the room for interrogation. When they asked for the location, they easily confessed, “In the Lipari Islands, on the southernmost island.”

“They’ve stopped moving.” Jiang Ping said, “The location is on the southern side of Ustica Island.” (Angel: the Lipari Islands and Ustica Island are small islands just north of Sicily.)

“It’s different from their answer?” Zhao Zhen looked at Zhan Zhao.

“There is definitely something wrong.” Zhan Zhao nodded.

“Ustica Island…” Bai Jintang frowned slightly.

“What’s the matter?” Zhan Zhao asked puzzledly.

“Ustica Island is an active volcanic island. Most of the population is concentrated near the northeast port. The terrain in the south is unknown, I don’t know where they could be hiding.” Zhao Jue, who stood by the group, said lightly. “The Lipari Islands are also quite a secretive place.”

“The satellite should be able to find it.” Bai Jintang spoke to the twins, “Go to General Rogers and get the detailed satellite pictures.”

The twins looked at each other, then turned at headed off.

Bai Jintang picked up his cell phone and made a call.

“Hello?” The voice on the other end of the phone sounded lazy, “Why are you so active at this time?”

Bai Jintang was silent for a while, “Leonard, do you have a yacht with an anti-aircraft missile?”

“En.” Leonard replied, “Why? I prepared it to escape the end of the world.”

“Lend it to me.” Bai Jintang said lightly, “I need to use it today.”

There was silence on the other end of the cell phone. After a while, Leonard said “I will ask Eugene to drive you to the port.”

“Thanks.”

Just when Bai Jintang wanted to hang up, Leonard asked with interest, “Why do you need it? Did someone take your dear one?”

Bai Jintang narrowed his eyes and said, “Aren’t you looking for WOLF? They are on Ustica Island.”

“What?!” Leonard turned over and sat up, “I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to find them. I will bring the boat to you personally!”

As he hung up, Zhan Zhao looked at Bai Jintang, “We don’t have proof that these people are WOLF.”

Bai Jintang shrugged indifferently, “Just follow him. Leonard is the most powerful person in Europe. If you want to save Yutang, let him take the initiative to help.”

“The helicopter has landed.” Jiang Ping said, “It hasn’t moved again.”

Zhan Zhao nodded slightly. Zhao Zhen suddenly looked at Bai Jintang, “Why do you want to take a yacht?”

Bai Jintang shook his head lightly and said, “Ustica Island and the Lipari Islands are too far away and it’s not convenient to take a plane there. We can park the yacht in the middle of the two and use it as our stronghold.”

“After we find their location, we still have to sneak in.” Zhan Zhao whispered, “Sneak inside and search.”

“I’ll go.” Zhao Zhen said, “Luo Tian, the twins, and I can sneak in and find Bai Yutang. You stay on the yacht and act as the commander, you can fly in at any time.”

Zhan Zhao frowned, and Zhao Jue next to him spoke. “This is a good plan. The little tiger has entered the house and naturally knows the situation. If you find him and ask him, you will know if the one who caught him is WOLF or not.”

Zhan Zhao nodded and remained silent. Everyone went and completed their own preparations. Shortly after, the twins returned with the detailed satellite pictures. On the hillside of southern Ustica, there was a hidden building. There was a similar building on one of the Lipari Islands as well.

At that time, the remaining members of SCI returned. As soon as they learned that their captain was taken away, Zhao Hu’s eyes turned red and he roared, “They dare to hit a rock with an egg! Bai Jintang will flatten their wolf den!” (Angel: hitting a rock with an egg is an idiom meaning that they are inviting disaster by overachieving.)

Shortly after, everyone had packed their things and immediately set off. Ouyang Chun and Mason contacted the navy for support.

When Zhan Zhao went out, Zhao Jue followed him. Seeing that Zhan Zhao hadn’t spoken since he came back, he asked “What are you thinking about?”

Zhan Zhao looked back at him and lightly said “I’m thinking about Yutang.” After he spoke, he turned around and left.

Zhao Jue looked at his back and laughed, “Those eyes are scary.”

When Bai Yutang woke up, he felt pain in the back of his neck. In his heart, he cursed the guy who hit him, ‘Whoever hit me this time, I must hit them back next time’. Slowly opening his eyes, the light around him was very bright. Bai Yutang shook his head and saw the top of a large bed and the white ceiling above him. Turning over and sitting up, he heard the sound of chains moving. When he looked down, he saw that his hands were chained together using advanced electronic locks. The more Bai Yutang studied the magnificent handcuffs, the more he felt like it was impossible to get them off. Fortunately, the distance between the locks on his wrists was relatively large and he could move freely. Looking at himself again, he saw that his coat was taken off and that he was left in only his shirt and jeans.

Looking around the room, he saw that it was an ordinary room, almost like a high-end hotel. He raised his eyes and looked out the window. The glass of the window spanned from the floor to the ceiling, and there was no way to open it; it was a glass wall with a view of the vast ocean outside.

Staring at the rippling blue water in a daze, Bai Yutang suddenly thought about the time when he was looking at the sea with Zhan Zhao, the time when they exchanged rings. He lowered his head and saw that the silver platinum ring was no longer on his finger, and he frowned slightly.

“You’re finally awake?” A voice came from the door; it was a voice that Bai Yutang was familiar with.

A man walked into the room.

Bai Yutang slowly turned his head and saw the person who walked in. He was startled, “Ben?”

“It’s me.” Benjamin walked over to Bai Yutang and looked at him, “Sorry that I brought you here in such a rough way.”

Bai Yutang thought for a while and asked, “You… aren’t with WOLF?”

Benjamin seemed to be taken aback for a short while. He smiled and spoke in a low voice, “You really are too smart.”

Bai Yutang thought for a while, “I get it. We always thought that you were using us to take down TVA, but instead you provoked the conflict between WOLF and TVA. Now, you have made everyone think that WOLF’s people have taken me, provoking a three-way fight between the police, Leonard, and WOLF, and you are able to reap the benefits.”

“Hahaha…” Benjamin smiled and nodded, “My goal has been achieved. Your people should be anxious and they will definitely interrogate the people I sent. Those people will tell them the location of WOLF’s hideout.”

Bai Yutang couldn’t help but secretly rejoice. It was fortunate that he installed the tracker on the helicopter, otherwise, chaos would have broken out.

“You don’t seem to be worried at all.” Benjamin suddenly spoke. “I planned to take both you and Zhan Zhao. Too bad he got away.”

Bai Yutang let out a sigh of relief; fortunately, he had sent Zhan Zhao away in the taxi. He turned his face and asked “Where is my ring?”

Benjamin frowned slightly, “I can buy you any ring you want. When this matter is over, I will replace Leonard and be the new leader of Europe.”

After hearing that, Bai Yutang nodded and raised his eyebrows, “Let’s wait and see.”

Benjamin squinted his eyes and stared at Bai Yutang for a long time, “Bai, if Zhan Zhao dies, will you fall in love with me?”

Bai Yutang looked up at him and sighed softly, “If Zhan Zhao dies, there will be no more Bai Yutang.” After speaking, he relaxed and laid back on the pillow. “Get out. Close the door behind you as you leave.”

Benjamin winced. He looked at Bai Yutang for a while before he turned and left.
