Murderer vs Murderer 16 – Rush to Europe

At 8 o’clock on the morning of August 20^th, the SCI members gathered at the police station and made their way to S City Airport together. Lu Fang gave them their tickets before they departed from the police station; they were all sitting in first class on a luxury international flight.

Bai Yutang and Zhan Zhao looked at the plane tickets and stuck their tongues out. They asked Lu Fang “They bought us ten first class tickets? Why are they being so generous recently?”

Lu Fang winked at the two of them and mysteriously said “It’s related to the face of S City Police Department after all.” After he spoke, he left with a smile.

Everyone arrived at the airport. They smoothly passed through the security check and customs, and arrived in the lounge. After confirming the flight number, everyone felt a bit puzzled. Generally, the first-class passengers are the first to board the flight, meaning that there should be many other people waiting for the flight with them. However, there was no one else there.

Everyone had the same thoughts; ‘Why is there no one? The flight to Paris is this empty? Isn’t traveling abroad popular lately? It’s the summer vacation, why is it so deserted?’

Zhao Hu touched his chin and said “It seems that the economic crisis is really serious.”

Everyone didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. At that moment, a staff member approached them and asked them to board the plane.

Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang looked at each other. They had flown on a plane many times as it was not uncommon for the to go abroad to cooperate with other police forces. However, why was the treatment so good this time?

Everyone walked through a private passage and they were dumbfounded as soon as they entered the plane. It was not an Airbus or a Boeing; the cabin was furnished like a luxury living room, with sofas, coffee tables, and TVs. It was a private business jet

At that time, there were already several people waiting on the plane.

“Dad!” Luoyang rushed over and hugged Luo Tian. Before Luo Tian left, he left Luoyang with Zhao Zhen. Staying with Zhao Zhen, Luoyang could help Bai Chi take care of him and Lisbon while he was away.

On the sofa in front of the nearest TV, Zhao Zhen was drinking coffee and Lisbon was lying by his feet.

On the two sofas next to them, the twins were playing chess. And of course, on the innermost sofa, Bai Jintang was reading a newspaper.

“Why are you here?” Bai Yutang looked at the people in front of him and asked. After thinking about it, he asked Bai Jintang, “What about the others?”

Bai Jintang raised his eyebrows and asked “What others?”

“The other passengers.” Bai Yutang glared at him.

Bai Jintang shrugged indifferently, “This plane is mine. Why would there be other passengers?”

“Heh…” Everyone gasped.

Zhan Zhao quietly asked Bai Yutang, “When did Big Brother buy the Lineage 1000? He has too much money.”

Bai Yutang was a little helpless. He didn’t know if Bao Sir and his brother made this decision together or whether his brother had this idea all on his own. He was hesitant, but he heard Bai Jintang say “Don’t worry, I talked to Bao Sir.”

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief and found a place to sit down. This plane was much more comfortable than regular planes; you could easily spend a whole day in it, let alone the 10 hours it takes to fly to Europe.

“Yutang.” Bai Jintang suddenly put down the newspaper and said “You can go and sit in the cockpit. If your hands are itching then you can discuss with the pilot.”

Bai Yutang opened his eyes wide and smiled. He glanced at Zhan Zhao, who shrugged helplessly. Bai Yutang threw his luggage and ran to the cockpit.

As soon as Zhan Zhao sat down, Lisbon came up to him. He laid down at Zhan Zhao’s feet and rubbed his furry head on his knees. Zhan Zhao leaned down to hug and pet him. Lisbon rolled over, raising all four of his legs, and let Zhan Zhao rub his belly.

Bai Chi sat next to Zhao Zhen and asked “Why are you here?”

Zhao Zhen smiled, “I know Europe well, can I be your tour guide?”

Bai Jintang looked at Gongsun who was sitting next to him and habitually stretched out his arm, leaned forward and kissed him. The other SCI members collectively turned their faces and pretended not to see it, but Luoyang watched curiously with his eyes wide open. Gongsun was anxious and he kicked Bai Jintang hard.

Bai Jintang was not annoyed. Instead, he leaned in and said with a smile, “There is a bedroom on board, just tell me if you want to try doing it on a plane.”

Gongsun really hated that he didn’t bring his scalpel.

Da Ding and Xia Ding looked around, wondering who was going to roll around during this long flight.

Soon, the plane took off and everyone began to talk about the details of their trip. Bai Jintang and Zhao Zhen have been unofficial members of SCI for so long that there was no reason to hide the details of the case from them. When Bai Jintang and the others watched the video, the twins opened their eyes and said “Wow… What is with their actions? They are too ruthless. No wonder Leonard has grown grey hairs recently, it turns out to be this case.”

Zhan Zhao suddenly asked the twins, “By the way, have you seen Karula before?”

The twins blinked and looked back at Bai Jintang.

Bai Jintang nodded to them, and the twins said “We have seen him before, but we aren’t too familiar with him.”

Zhan Zhao looked at Jiang Ping. Jiang Ping took out the sketch that was made from Benjamin’s description and showed it to the twins, “Is this him?”

The twins glanced at it, then shook their heads, “Karula is much more handsome than this person.”

“Sure enough, Ben was speaking nonsense!” Zhao Hu yelled, “That kid played us!”

“Ben?” Bai Jintang frowned slightly, “Which Ben?”

“Benjamin.” Zhan Zhao said, “He is a member of Interpol. Do you recognize him?”

Xiao Ding sneered and said “This kid said that this person was Karula? There must be a problem with him.”

“Why do you say that?” Zhan Zhao asked curiously.

“That kid named Ben is actually quite embarrassing.” Xiao Ding said. “For people like Karula, although Interpol has issued an arrest warrant, it is purely superficial. After all, this sort of person has too strong of a background, so it’s not easy to take them down. Those in charge of anti-terrorism have all been working hard to arrest Bin Laden. Who has the time to focus on an organization that can’t even be considered part of the mafia?” (Angel: This book was released before the US Special Forces killed Osama Bin Laden, hence why he was used as an example)

Everyone glanced at each other and nodded. An organization like TVA is more like a tool that is used to maintain balance in the underworld; they will not kill innocent people or disrupt public order.

“But that Ben…” Da Ding shook his head, “I don’t know why, but after he was put in charge of the European anti-terrorism force, he has had a special interest in Karula.”

Everyone looked at each other and felt a little surprised.

“Karula’s tempter…” Xiao Ding snorted twice, “It’s really bad. For example, if your big brother is a five, then Karula is a ten!”

Everyone took a breath. That means that Karula’s temper was nearly twice as bad as Bai Jintang’s. They all exclaimed in unison, “That’s terrible!”

Bai Jintang looked up at the twins helplessly, then lowered his head to continue reading the newspaper.

“In several unrelated operations, Karula’s people clashed with the anti-terrorism force.” Xiao Ding continued. “A lot of people died during the fights, and Ben also suffered to an extent. However, Karula later received special care through his conditional cooperation with the anti-terrorism force.”

“Oh…” Zhan Zhao nodded, “Ben’s position truly is embarrassing.”

“Yeah.” Xiao Ding nodded, “However, Ben has a bad name on him now; the anti-terrorism force doesn’t want to work with him anymore, the underworld people don’t take him seriously, and his safety isn’t guaranteed. In other words, senior management threw him out.”

While they were talking, Bai Yutang returned.

“Did you enjoy it?” Zhan Zhao asked him with a grin.

Bai Yutang had a euphoric expression on his face.

“Are you going to cooperate with Interpol this time?” Bai Jintang asked.

“Well, Interpol should only facilitate the cooperation between us and the European police forces.” Bai Yutang said. “After all, Interpol is only responsible for contacting and issuing wanted orders. However, since Ouyang is in charge of the cooperation this time, he should arrange it for us. So let’s go to France first.”

“When you are in France, don’t stay in a hotel. It’s not safe. Stay at my place instead.” Bai Jintang said.

Everyone nodded shyly, thinking that it would be nice to have a rich brother.

The flight was enjoyable. Bai Yutang and Zhan Zhao assigned a general task to everyone and sorted out the materials that they brought with them.

Zhan Zhao sat and looked through the documents that Zhao Jue sent him.

After about eleven hours of flying, everyone finally landed in Paris. After getting off the plane, Bai Jintang took everyone to his residence in Paris to rest and deal with the jet leg. The next day, everyone drove to Lyon.

Staying in Bai Jintang’s villa, everyone was speechless. They all thought that it’s really good to get into real estate; you can have homes all over the world to stay in.

After lunch, Ouyang Chun drove a car out to pick up the team. The procedures for entering the Interpol headquarters were quite cumbersome, so only Zhan Zhao, Bai Yutang, and Jiang Ping went to gather the information. The others were free to enjoy their time.

Bai Jintang took Gongsun to experience the romantic atmosphere of Paris.

Because Zhao Zhen grew up in France, he also had a house and many friends in Lyon, so he took Bai Chi and Lisbon back to his home.

Luo Tian took Luoyang to Disneyland Paris to play.

The rest of the team followed the twins to go and explore Paris.

The team members who went and spent a leisurely day did so at the public’s expense. (Angel: they are out there having fun and spending the tax payers’ money. What a nice way to spend a day in a foreign country.)

Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang went to the headquarters of Interpol. They followed Ouyang Chun into a silver-grey square building. The electronic locks made them speechless.

Everyone went in to gather the information and go through the formalities of the cooperation. After taking some documents and handing over some information, Ouyang Chun took them and left.

“That’s it?” Bai Yutang looked at Ouyang Chun curiously.

“What can we do in this building?” Ouyang Chun smiled. “All of the people here are regular citizens, and what we want is their permission.” As he spoke, he shook a file in his hand. “In order to freely conduct our investigation, we need all of the police forces to cooperate with our detective work.”

Bai Yutang nodded and followed Ouyang Chun forward, only to see Zhan Zhao suddenly stop and look off into the distance.

“Cat…” Bai Yutang looked in the direction that Zhan Zhao was looking and saw a person sitting on a chair behind a wall of plants, wearing a white shirt and white jeans. He was holding a book in his hand, but his eyes were looking at them and he raised hit hand to gently greet them.

“Oh?” Ouyang Chun seemed a little surprised, “Didn’t I tell him to wait in Italy? Why is he here?”

Seeing Zhan Zhao’s hesitance, they all stopped. The man stood up and unhurriedly walked towards the group. His movements were graceful as he walked. His hair was very long and tied at the back of his head casually. He was still the same thin and handsome man, but the usual trace of banter on his face was gone. It was replaced with a calculated smile.

The man was Zhao Jue, someone who they hadn’t seen for a while.

I really hope we get a case where Bai Yutang gets to fly a plane. It could be for any reason; it could even just be a date with Zhan Zhao.
