Shadow Murderer 31 – Temporary Conclusion (End of Case File)

Bai Yutang, Zhan Zhao and Ouyang Chun watched as Taber and Jie Jie scaled the wall and left the villa, but Luo Tian and Du She were nowhere to be seen. The three of them did not worry much and chased after Taber.

Taber and Jie Jie ran in a panic and entered the abandoned factory building. Taber said to Jie Jie, "Stop them!"

Jie Jie didn't seem to have been very clear-headed, he had a shoulder injury and was foolish. At Taber's command, he really stood still and waited for Bai Yutang and the others to arrive. Taber turned around and dove into the cluster of boxes that were neatly stacked in the factory room.

As Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang chased after Jie Jie, Ouyang Chun raised his gun to shoot, but Zhan Zhao raised his hand and beckoned to Jie Jie.

Jie Jie cocked his head to look at Zhan Zhao and suddenly smiled, running over to him in a good manner and standing obediently at his side.

Ouyang Chun looked at Zhan Zhao and was confused.

Before Zhan Zhao could say anything, they heard a gunshot from not far away.

Without saying a word, Bai Yutang and Zhan Zhao went after them.

Ouyang Chun stood at a loss for words before hurriedly pulling out his handcuffs and handcuffing Jie Jie. He was just about to pursue them when he heard the sirens blaring loudly behind him, and Bao Zheng's car drove over from a distance.

Ouyang Chun hesitated, but escorted Jie Jie back a few steps, ignited his flare and waved it in the air a few times, signalling the crowd to come this way.

Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang followed the sound of gunfire to find their way over, and saw a huge workshop brightly lit up ahead of them.

The two men looked at each other and went straight in after them.

There were high piles of boxes in the factory, and just as they entered, they heard a 'clatter' coming from the top of the pile of boxes.

Bai Yutang frowned, "Up there".

Zhan Zhao saw that he had put away his gun and was climbing up, and he was a little nervous. Bai Yutang's hand was still wrapped in gauze, and just as he was about to tell him to be careful, he saw a man suddenly jumping down from above.

The pile of cardboard boxes was at least ten metres high, and the man leapt down with great speed. When he landed, Zhan Zhao clearly heard the sound of the bones in his body, he must have been injured.

The man who leapt down was none other than Du She. He didn't stop, raised his head, saw Zhan Zhao standing not far from him, and flew forward to pounce on him.

"Cat, shoot!" As soon as Bai Yutang's words left his mouth, Zhan Zhao raised his hand and fired a shot at Du She...

Zhan Zhao had never killed anyone before, so he shot with a softer hand, hitting Du She's shoulder.

Du She was hit by the bullet and only paused for a moment, still charging forward.

It was during this moment of pause that Bai Yutang jumped down from the box.

He pounced on Du She and threw him to the ground. Du She was about to get up, but Bai Yutang was much quicker than him and rolled onto his back, and before his supporting foot hit the ground, he sent Du She tumbling through the air with a side kick.

Even if Du She did not feel pain, he could not withstand Bai Yutang's kick. He fell to the ground and spat out a mouthful of blood, then looked at Bai Yutang, got up, turned around and ran.

He didn't get very far before a black shadow pounced from the top of the cardboard boxes – Luo Tian.

Half of Luo Tian's shoulder was stained red with blood. Bai Yutang and Zhan Zhao watched with concern when they saw him pounce and hit Du She, knocking him a few metres away from the building and causing him to loudly crash into a steel pillar in the middle of the building.

Zhan Zhao frowned as he saw Du She's whole right elbow bone sticking out, it was too cruel.

Luo Tian seemed to have lost control and wanted to rush over, but he heard Bai Yutang raising his hand and firing a shot into the air, saying in a cold voice, "Don't move!”

Only then did Luo Tian stop, no longer able to stand and kneeling on one leg. It was only then that Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang could clearly see that there were several bullet holes in his body, and that blood was gushing out.

"Luo Tian are you alright?" Zhan Zhao was a little anxious, with the way he was bleeding, it was like he didn't even know that it hurt when blood drained.

"Hehehe..." Du She suddenly laughed and said in a hoarse voice, "It's not that easy to die... People like us, without blowing up or rotting to the point of not even having any crumbs left, we won't die... don't you agree?" Saying that, he glanced at Luo Tian.

"Don't move!" Bai Yutang raised his gun and aimed at Du She, "You can't get away."

"Hehe..." Du She laughed again, taking the hand out from behind his back, and they saw that he had a grenade in his hand.

Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang looked at each other.

"Is it okay to shoot me?" Du She smiled, "Are you guys going to bury me, the monster, with you?"

Bai Yutang didn't say anything. At that moment, footsteps sounded outside the factory, the rest of SCI had arrived.

"Don't come in!" Zhan Zhao turned around and shouted.

Everyone also saw what was going on inside and stopped.

"Give it up." Zhan Zhao coldly said to Du She, "Your hands can't be as fast as a bullet, right?"

"Do you guys dare to bet?" Du She laughed coldly, "I'm a monster, even if you guys pierce my head, I can still move. As long as I blow up here..." he said, reaching out and pointing to Luo Tian next to him, "he's going to die with me! "

Zhan Zhao understood that Du She was right about the situation, both sides were facing each other and there was nothing they could do for a while.

After scanning his line of sight quickly, Zhan Zhao suddenly had a bright idea and sneered at Du She, "Your experiment site, the personnel are all gone, what can you do even if you escape?" As he spoke, he took advantage of Du She's inattention and put his hands behind his back, making several gestures to the crowd at the entrance.

Gongsun saw Zhan Zhao's gestures, and without waiting for the crowd to react, he quietly took Luo Yang with him and left the crowd.

"Hehe...” Du She smiled, “If I die, I'll drag him with me." As he spoke, he looked at Luo Tian, "We are destined to be together, to live together and die together..." His thumb was already through the safety pin, and with one slight movement, it would explode.

Luo Tian raised his eyes to look at him and shook his head disdainfully, "Who will live and die together with you... I'm a success, you're just defective, I have a good son, what do you have? That lunatic?!”

"Shut up! Shut up!" Du She got emotional, "I'll die with you, together..." After saying that, he pulled out the safety pin and lunged at Luo Tian.

Bai Yutang shot him right in the chest,  blood spurted out of Du She's mouth, and because of the force, his whole body leaned backwards.

"Go!" Bai Yutang pulled Zhan Zhao and ran out of the building, and there was a loud clatter as the wall of cardboard boxes behind Luo Tian collapsed. Just as the boxes buried Luo Tian, the grenade in Du She's hand exploded...

A huge explosion shook the sky. Bai Yutang threw himself on Zhan Zhao, and the crowd at the door also hurriedly dropped down.

After the explosion, Bai Yutang first looked up at Zhan Zhao, who also looked at him. Both of them were unhurt, so they jumped up together and rushed back.

They saw that the cardboard pile was scorched black and some of them were on fire.

Bai Yutang darted forward to remove the boxes, calling out, "Luo Tian!"

Zhan Zhao, on the other hand, raised his head to look above the paper boxes that had not yet collapsed and shouted, "Yang Yang?"

It didn't take long for Luo Yang to poke his head out from the top of a large pile of cardboard boxes and look at Zhan Zhao, "Uncle Zhan... Where is Uncle Big Beard?"

Zhan Zhao just gestured for everyone to look at the vent pipe above the paper boxes, where only Luo Yang could fit in. Gongsun understood his earlier gestures and took Luo Yang outside, telling Luo Yang to go through the exhaust pipe and overturned the cardboard boxes, but he must hide in the cardboard boxes against the wall.

After checking and finding that Luo Yang was fine, Zhan Zhao was relieved. When he turned around, he saw the rest of SCI coming in to help Bai Yutang pick through the boxes, and Gongsun called for an ambulance to be prepared outside the door.

"Luo Tian!" Bai Yutang finally found Luo Tian under a pile of cardboard boxes and reached out to check his nose, "He's still alive!"

Bai Yutang's voice made everyone let out a long sigh of relief. The doctor had already rushed in and lifted Luo Tian onto a stretcher. Gongsun went with the ambulance, turning back to Luo Yang and waving.

Luo Yang looked back at Zhan Zhao.

Zhan Zhao stroked his head and whispered, "Go on, he's your father."

Luo Yang froze, his eyes widened in thought, and he dashed into the ambulance with his head bent.

As the ambulance left in a cloud of dust, Bai Yutang snapped to attention and ordered, "Don't regroup, spread out and look, Taber hasn't been caught yet!"

Taber fled in desperation, stumbling towards the back of the factory. Fortunately, he had prepared a car there for a rainy day and could escape.

Running to the car, and relieved to find that no one had come after him yet, Taber reached for his car keys... no!

Taber broke out in a cold sweat, rummaging through his upper and lower pockets, but there was nothing. As he was getting anxious, he heard a soft laugh from behind him.

Turning sharply, Taber saw a man standing behind him and his eyes widened, knowing his death was imminent.

"Looking for this?" The man pulled a key out of his pocket.

Taber stepped back slightly, gulped and said, "Why kill them in a hurry?"

The man smiled slightly, came up, handed him the key and said, "Here you go, reach out and take it."

Taber trembled as he reached out to take it, but he saw a shifting figure. The man flashed behind Taber with great speed and raised his hand, the key slashed across Taber's neck, and a bloody wound appeared… cracked open... blood spurted out...

Taber's body fell to the ground like a pile of mud. The man sneered, reached out and threw the key at Taber, and turned to leave.

Walking over to a black car parked far down the road, he opened the door and smiled at the man in the car, "Don't worry, your two little treasures are fine."

"Hmph." The man turned his face, his shoulder-length hair covering the ambiguous pale pink traces between his ears, temples and neck.

"Let's go." Starting the car, he lit a cigarette, exhaled the smoke and laughed softly, "You've been waiting for so many years, are you still afraid to wait? The time is not right yet, have some patience..." After saying that, he started the car and left.

When Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang found Taber, they saw the corpse whose throat had been slit by the key.

"Xiao Bai, can you do it?” Zhan Zhao asked.

Bai Yutang squatted down to examine Taber's corpse and smiled bitterly, "Do what? Use a key as a knife?"

"Looks like it's far from over." Zhan Zhao reached out and pulled him up.

"But at least it's over for today!" Bai Yutang laughed lightly and reached out to put his arm around his shoulders as he walked back, "Cat, I could have been a dad for a while, but that's a bust, isn't it?!"

Zhan Zhao also laughed, "That's right, I'll be the father, and you'll be the mother!"

"Why should I be the mother?" Bai Yutang said seriously, "No matter how you look at it, I'm the father!"

"A mother cooks and does the dishes and the laundry!" Zhan Zhao said with a straight face.

Bai Yutang smiled ambiguously and came up to him, "I'm not going to argue with you, let's settle this in bed!"

"Damn mouse!" Once again, in front of a large audience, Zhan Zhao was rude to a certain mouse.

After working until nearly midnight, Bai Yutang ordered everyone to rest for the night and to finish the work tomorrow, so they all went home one by one.

When Bai Chi entered the house, he found Lisbon waiting at home alone. Zhao Zhen was not there, but had left a note saying that he was going to help out at a friend's bar.

Bai Chi knew about the bar, which was owned by Zhao Zhen's friend, but he remembered that it was quite messy... After thinking about it, he picked up the keys, opened the door and went out.

The bar was noisy. Zhao Zhen used to frequent bars when he was in France, so he was acquainted with a few friends who owned bars. Because of the demands of his performances, Zhao Zhen studied bartending. A magician bartending, regardless of whether it tasted good or not, the key was a good posture and a lot of fancy movements. Zhao Zhen, who was already handsome, became the focus of the entire bar.

When Bai Chi walked into the bar, what he saw was – A bunch of people in the bar, some male and some female, were staring at Zhao Zhen behind the bar, looking at him with green eyes.

Not knowing where his anger came from, Bai Chi walked in and stood in front of Zhao Zhen.

Because he was afraid of getting into trouble, Zhao Zhen's expression was quite cool when he was bartending all night, so some of those who were tempted did not dare to come closer. Now that he was smiling, Bai Chi heard a chorus of gasps behind him, and his face suddenly darkened a few notches.

"What's wrong? Your face looks so ugly." Zhao Zhen reached out and pinched Bai Chi's cheek, "Is the case not going well?"

Bai Chi swatted his hand away and shouted, "Come back with me!"

Zhao Zhen was dumbstruck, and the people around him were quiet.

Bai Chi didn't notice the difference and continued to yell, "You're not allowed to come back here again! I'll move out if you come back! I won't cook for you anymore!"

"Hah~~~" There was another gasp behind them, only, while the gasp earlier was full of amazement, this time it was full of regret.

Bai Chi noticed that a number of people were looking at him with strange expressions, some of them even covering their mouths and snickering. It was only then that he realised with a jolt that what he had said was somewhat ambiguous.

"Uh... no..." Bai Chi blushed, his mouth open as he didn't know how to explain.

"Aiya..." The bar owner, also known as Zhao Zhen's friend, covered his mouth and nudged Zhao Zhen, "Oh no, your little baby is jealous, hurry up and go back, be careful of not receiving any food in the future…” As he said this, he licked his lips ambiguously.

Bai Chi blushed to the neck, and turned around and ran.

Zhao Zhen lifted his feet and chased after him... his face full of laughter.

The SCI crowd wrapped up all the loose ends of this case, and another major case was solved.

A rare day of leisure had arrived. On this day, the SCI team was lying in the office basking in the sun. Zhan Zhao was typing up the case records when Bao Zheng knocked on the door and entered.

Everyone raised their eyes to look at Bao Zheng, and Bai Yutang asked, "Bao Sir, is there another big case?"

Bao Zheng glared at him and shook his head, "Were you born to work too? It's only been a few days. A big case, do you think there are that many big cases?"

Bai Yutang raised his eyebrows and continued to yawn, looking at Bao Zheng as if asking – Then what are you doing here?

Bao Zheng smiled and said to the group, "I'm here to introduce you to a new colleague."

Bai Yutang frowned and asked, "Bao Sir, how come I don't know about someone being transferred?"

Zhan Zhao nodded, "We have the right to know and the right to make decisions!"

Bao Zheng glared at the two men and slowly said, "You will surely be satisfied, as we all know each other anyway." With that, he beckoned to the side.

Everyone looked towards the door curiously and saw a man walk in. He was dressed in a clean and sharp denim outfit, looking much less weathered, in his thirties, but with gauze wrapped around his head.

"Luo Tian?!" Bai Yutang stood up, and the others looked at each other in disbelief.

"Luo Tian is well suited to be a police officer." Bao Zheng smiled, "I've found a helper for you guys. Bai Chi has never had a partner out in the field, so let Luo Tian do it."

"Really?" Bai Chi jumped up happily.

Bai Yutang and Zhan Zhao looked at each other with joyful expressions.

At that moment, another person came through the doorway.

The crowd saw Luo Yang walk up to Luo Tian, and with his hands on his hips, he exclaimed, "Please take care of me in the future. You guys, you can't bully my dad!"
